I’m sure we’ve had this thread before, but there are always new shit adverts 😁

My least favourite at the moment is the new Sainsbury’s ad where the boy says, “Daaaaaad…” and the dad cuts in with “Don’t say it!” before the boy asks what’s for dinner. Flummoxed looking dad then turns to the camera and asks “Any ideas, Sainsbury’s?”

What’s that all about? Is it really an outlandish question for a child to ask? It’s not like he wants to go to Disney World. It isn’t unusual for children to expect to be fed, and quite why the dad is so bewildered at the idea of having to think of something when dinner happens every day of every year, I can’t imagine.

What are your most hated ads?

Oh I f*cking HATE that one. Where the woman is on the computer, and it goes off for a few minutes, and she comes back with messy hair, looking all coy, and says 'oh sorry, my computer decided to play up a bit ha ha ha.!'

Oh yeah those Lily James adverts for Sky Mobile. They been going on for ages in different versions and I never see anyone mentioning how annoying they are!!

All those BBC ad breaks to advertise their podcasts \ election specials \ football trailers - longer than ITV

Any advert clearly filmed in a different language and very badly dubbed into English. If you are clearly too cheap to film one in different languages, then at least film them in a way that uses a voice over instead of very bad dubbing.

There's one at thd moment which I absolutely can't cos thd woman is so annoying. Think it's for Lidl or Aldi and thd husband comes back with the shopping and she goes in to raptures cos they sell Ben and Jerry's and says 'I didn't know they did that' in this really irritating voice and then gurns 'love you' at the end. Grrr can't stand it.

It's for farm foods, I recognise the women but can't think where from !

The Verisure alarms ones which are generally bargain basement standard but the most recent one with Angela Scanlon is quite sneery and distasteful. It shows Angela sat on a chair next to a drab middle aged man looking depressed with the line' No offence Alan but if anyone wanted to burgle your house we're all in trouble'. Not nice and then encouraging everyone (apart of the Alans of this world clearly) to buy a Verisure alarm..

Hate all the Tena lady 'bulky per pant ones. I always want to say, 'You do know you change them once a day then they wouldn't be bulky filled with pee'. I really cringe when she's sat in the blokes shoulders at the gig.

Also hate Octopus as their customer service has actually been shit and the problem I had 14 months ago is still not resolved despite working fine for 3 years previously.

The worst Verisure ad was with the pregnant women basically using people's fears about keeping their children safe to flog their shitty alarms. Absolutely vile.

Calgon is one I can think of.

The new Vimto one that rhymes- apart from the awful rhyming, the bloke's voice massively grates on me.

Resurrecting this thread (again) because I can't stand (or understand) those AA adverts. Any of them. The one with the driving instructor telling the learner to drive into the vortex. Some weird one at a petrol station. But I've just seen the one that really gets my dander up (lol) the one with the guys coming from robbing the bank and the getaway driver saying "don't worry I'm with the AA!" It's stupid anyway. But that bank!! No banks look like that!! It's like the ad creatives have never seen a bank in this country but maybe briefly saw an American one in a film. It looks more like an empty university building or something.

I have to add 'Vintage Cash Cow' - and the bloody annoying LINDA!!! 😠 She seems to think it's hilarious that her bloody mobile phone goes off, when she's being filmed, singing the praises of Vintage Cash Cow (which very likely gives you 3 pence for every kilo of gold you send - like most of these 'we buy your gold' companies! )🙄

The Andrex ad where that weird looking man takes the loo roll out of the cubicle, sniffs it (yuk), washes his hands and leaves the loo roll by the wash basin. It makes me think of all the stressful times I've used the loo and there's been no loo roll.

The new period pad ad (can't remember brand) where women talk about "the gush".

I really really HATE the ad for 1 of the mobile networks (I think) where some woman speaks to her mates about her crying baby not going down. I don't know exactly what it is about it that infuriates me - a combination of the wobbly-voice-but-I'm-so-brave-trembling-lip and crap acting I think.

I cannot state how much I loathe that ad!

And lots of the others mentioned too.

Oh yeah I hate that too! Stressed mum of young baby walks into kitchen - where a bunch of 5 or 6 other women are sitting. 'Oh girls.... she won't go down....' the woman sobs holding her crying baby. They say 'you got this gurrrl, it's OK' and 'have you tried white noise???' And all these other suggestions to make the baby 'go down' And awwwwww, down she goes, off to sleep.......

If only it was that easy to make a baby STFU!

And then it turn out the 5 or 6 women aren't even there! She's chatting to them on Whatsapp! 🙄 Like you say, the bad acting, the wobbly voice, and the trembling lip makes it even worse! 😆

Everything you say! Plus the tired old cliche of "oh look - her first smile" and then the baby farts. Hate it!

The stupid Ant n Dec ads for a bank! They make no sense!

That annoying t**t in the bath for pure cremation, God, I just want to punch him in the face!! Plus the woman looking up to the attic saying "we don't want to dig your funeral plan out just yet". Christ, I'd love to dig her funeral plan out and wipe that smug look off her fu####ng face!!

And the Alison Hammond one, what the fuck is that voice she puts on talking about the "renovation", it is incredibly annoying!!!
