He is a relatively nice man, for a Tory, but he won't be directly contactable because among the random strangers who want to talk to him will include various nutcase stalkers who either want to kill him or have his babies and neither he nor we have any evidence that you aren't one of these. So you make contact with one of the 3rd party organisations and convince them that you have a bona fide reason and aren't a nutcase. They will have contact details for a PA or personal secretary who will ask him whether he wants to agree to contact. But it is more likely that one or other of these gatekeeping steps will decide you can't be trusted.

Major got incensed (well, mildly cross) about never ending roadworks and set up a hotline which could be called if you saw coned off bits of road without anyone working on them.

I don't think bringing Edwina in is fair at this point.

I saw him last year speaking at a history festival. He was surrounded by men in black suits and his entourage arrived and left in two black range rovers. I doubt they’d let a random person approach him to “have a chat”.😂

I met him through a work thing a while back (am not in politics and not a Tory) and like others here I found him very nice and he sent me a copy of his book after (which was relevant to our conversation, not unwanted). I'd say that if he's well and up to it, then OP would probably be right in her assumption that he'd respond kindly to polite correspondence.

I've always liked him, hands off interlopers! He was the special guest at an autism charity lunch I attended, I think he's got a grandson with ASD. Everyone was asking him boring politics/charity related questions. I came out with a cracker about cricket and stole the show. He seemed mighty pleased to be asked a question that he was actually interested in

Why does OP want to know? I think that, like some other posters, she met him once years ago, thought he was surprisingly attractive, and suddenly got a hankering all these years later to find him again as she is overwhelmingly curious to know if he is still hot or not.
