They lost Oldham. If they lose London they will have to reflect on the Gaza issue. I ,for one, am glad if this does force their hand - despite their difficulties with issues over anti Semitism. Otherwise, they are giving the message that they don't care- not just about the (large) Muslim vote , but also about the concerns of Muslim (and other) people on the events in Palestine. A Workers' Party candidate stood in our PCC election (Luton is in the area with its high Muslim population) and picked up quite a lot of votes. Labour ought to be worried about Luton constituencies in a general election. I think I read somewhere once that British Asians have a higher voting turnout than most other minority ethnic groups.
I am not a single issue voter but am troubled by some issues and Labour's stance . There just isn't another viable party for me so I'll stick with Labour to GTTO.
I know the PFW is a new, grassroots movement but I am afraid they became a bit of a laughing stock (excuse pun) and really did not appear to have any policy on local concerns at all, just instructions as to who could vote for them , and a vague mention of bin collection in the two videos I have seen and in their leaflets. And, hard to see via MN, but Labour will lose (again relatively small) numbers of votes in the other direction on their stance on gender. They know this and so that becomes - to the strategists- a minor balancing act in that they assume each viewpoint cancels the other out.
Separately -The news coverage is interesting. LDs and Greens did well - the focus has been on the Reform party.
