Do the owners just like books or is this an attempt at a Tracey Emin unmade bed art installation look with random books piled up instead.

Nice spot! Is that the red box on the wall in pic 9? I know that is deffo someone. Was bugging me.

Edited

Also, do you think that is a Kiefer in the sitting room?

Copperoliverbear · 26/04/2024 23:18

It's actually at the back of Primrose Hill a couple of streets away from the park.

commonground · 26/04/2024 23:18

^^I did think it was, although the collagey bit looks a little Dunelm wall art. However, given the company it's keeping with the other pieces, let's say it is Kiefer.

Also a Donald Judd. I’d love to have a look around. The books are probably an artwork, no?

Well spotted. They are serious collectors!

Which one do you think is a Kiefer?

Shall we all book a viewing just so we can look at the art? Grin

Yes, let’s! I think there is a Keifer in the sitting room and I saw two things that look like a bit of old lead in another pic so wonder if they are too.

Nice spot! Is Cock Ottoman with Parked Chair (2018). I wonder if the Julian Opie kids are allowed to sit on it.

I love how this thread has turned into a chat on modern art.

I think I'd rather have this one - it actually is in Hampstead and I'd have ÂŁ1m left over for renovations https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/146960567#/?channel=RES_BUY

That is gorgeous. I am failing to understand why this house is cheaper? Anyone?

covetingthepreciousthings · 28/04/2024 09:12

@PinkPondQueen there isn't any pictures of the inside? Assuming it needs fully renovating?

PinkPondQueen · 28/04/2024 09:25

Ah yes sorry was confusing it with the one in Primrose Hill!

It's a beautiful house. Who cares about the books they don't come with the property.

I don’t know, at that price, I would sort of be hoping the books were included.

Bjorkdidit · 28/04/2024 11:05

I'm wondering what's worth more, the house or the artworks, there must be ÂŁmillions of that too.

I think it has had some sort of institutional use as there are multi cubicle loos on the bottom floor. I imagine it needs a fit out although the floor plan looks quite sensible

It's currently 6 flats. The floor plans are proposed ones with planning consent to turn it back into one property.

Though if I was going to spend millions it would be this https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/142135811#/?channel=RES_BUY

and spend the rest of the money on a lock up and leave in London!

That is gorgeous. I'd far rather that than the St John's Wood one and I'm 100% sure the neighbours would be nicer

It definitely isn’t FC’s house.

LindorDoubleChoc · 28/04/2024 21:22

It's strange and somehow hypocritical of Mumsnet that they will allow this thread (critiquing a house advertised online) to run and run, but they routinely jump on and delete threads critiquing property at the opposite end of the market.

Oblomov24 · 28/04/2024 22:23

Wow. What a great place. I'd buy it. Decorate it to my tastes.
