My house is 13⁰.
It's not like I even live in the Scottish Highlands... I'm in the SE of England.
It's nearly May.
It's not fair <stamps foot petulantly>

There were hailstones yesterday in central Scotland. I had my heating on last night because I was so cold, I've not had my heating on for 2 weeks.

MotherofPearl · 26/04/2024 08:25

I'm really regretting getting my wool winter coat dry cleaned a few weeks ago. Talk about jumping the gun. Confused

fisherking1 · 26/04/2024 08:26

Thermals top and bottoms back on. Bedding plants and jobs abandoned in the garden. :(

MinervaMcGonagallsCat · 26/04/2024 08:28

It's currently 4C outside so central heating well and truly on.

Beezknees · 26/04/2024 08:30

I can still see my breath this morning. It's May next week. Horrendous!

Els1e · 26/04/2024 09:07

@abracadabra1980 Can I just ask about this blanket. Does it smell at all? I bought a cheaper version of heated blanket but every time we put it on there was a weird plastic smell. Tried washing it and everything. Your blanket is a good price at moment.

abracadabra1980 · 27/04/2024 20:57

No, no smell from any of them.

Tlolljs · 27/04/2024 21:01

I’m in bed I’m freezing. Got wet walking to work. Got wet walking home again. Properly pissed off 😡

I turned my heating off 3 weeks ago and normally do until November.

I put the heating on for 8 hours today to 21 degrees. Feel so much better and kids are happy

existentialpain · 27/04/2024 21:03

It is totally depressing

quizzys · 27/04/2024 21:20

You'll all be complaining when the sizzling heat of Summer arrives. Air con units, fans, shorts, strappy tops, open toe sandals and sliders, ice cream, and sardine like beaches and parks. Threads on how to keep from frying, close the windows, pull the blinds and only emerge at sundown.

You get the drift.

Not me. I never moan about sun!

Nope. I absolutely love summer.

Delatron · 28/04/2024 09:18

I never moan about warm weather in summer as it’s often so fleeting in this country and we get a good 7 plus months of cold and miserable weather. I love wandering around in shorts and flip flops and sitting outside in the evening.

Many do moan obviously on here. Usually the minute if finally gets to the dizzy heights of 20 degrees.

Delatron · 28/04/2024 09:19

On a positive note it does look to be warming up slightly next week.

Snackpocket · 28/04/2024 09:24

Definitely won’t be complaining it’s too hot in summer. I love the heat, but also I can’t see us having a good summer after spring being so appalling!

CatsLikeBoxes · 28/04/2024 15:08

@quizzys sounds blissful to me! While I'm not a fan of temperatures over 30⁰ unless I can lounge around lazily with a supply of ice lollies and cold drinks, or bob about in the sea, I am not a contributor to any of the "can't wait for autumn / I love rain and long, dark nights" threads. Summery weather is brief here, I relish it!

I’m not a sun bum by any means but this is ridiculous.
