Chris and Eve vloggers quit?

I used to follow a YouTube couple, Chris and Eve, they seemed quite nice and had 2 cats they vlogged about a lot, and more recently had 2 kids. I think they had a reasonable following.

I wanted to find out what company cat-proofed their garden, but I can't find their YT channel or Insta any more? The accounts are both unavailable. Just wondered if anyone knew if they've decided to quit vlogging? Thinking about it, I hadn't seen any videos by them come up for ages. (And in the meantime if anyone can recommend good cat-proofing companies in Surrey or Berkshire area, I'd be grateful!)

I don't ever recall them saying what they did for a living either and I didn't know till now. I just remember they said they didn't want to disclose it but work was aware of their YouTube channel etc and were OK about it.

I know I watched them for the cats too as I've ended up with three BSHs. Then I got married and had 2 kids etc and I felt we were at a similar life stage at the same time. I guess that's why I kept watching them too as I felt I could relate to them in a way. I even bought things for my house which they recommended etc. I've got covers for my bowls when we have soup 😂

I remember seeing on Instagram stories about their jobs and how they met. I think it was when asked about why they picked the names for their cats, they then said they were pilots and that’s why they picked those names.

The financial problems (well not problems, just lack of work and income due to covid era) they were open about on their YouTube and Instagram. I remember one of their blogs they were talking about mortgage payment breaks.

It really was just so refreshing to have them be so ‘real’ in an online world full of mostly fakers. Just so down to earth. Eve’s birth story for instance was so honest and raw. I just guess it was nice having some relatable people out there as influences. They were never flashy, just normal! Even their vlogs about Chris’ gum graft was super entertaining!

And again, the cats, super spoilt and adorable!

I do truly hope they are more than happy and well. I know they don’t owe us any explanation or anything. Just miss the turbo and jet updates. I just really hope they are okay.

I must have missed those updates! I wad totally unaware haha.

But yeah, I do really wish them well and hope everything is OK for them. They seem like lovely people and a lovely family.

I think I first come across them around 8 years ago as we were getting our house cats (different breed as they are Ragdolls, but these are a very 'indoor' breed too!). I remember watching the vlog where they found out they were expecting Rose! It is sad they've just ended it like this. I do hope they are all OK.

Agree with everything you said. They were never pilots. Chris worked from home. Some posters here are either making it up or confusing them with other bloggers. I think it’s something more sinister which caused them to pull out immediately.

This thread is weirder than their disappearance. Why are there so many contested facts about them?

Oooo but before I do, chris’s individual instagram page is still up but set to private and he’s deleted all posts and a lot of followers.

All these influencers make stuff up. Don’t believe it all. Honestly, people really can be stupid.

Eve was definitely a pilot, not sure about Chris. But I remember it being mentioned in relation to naming the cats. And also yes her LinkedIn.

i used to watch their videos every week, have done since around the time they had rose. this is all so bizarre!!

I suspect a lot of influencers reach a point in their lives where they realise they aren’t actually comfortable will so much content about them online.

These two don’t sound like massive attention seekers. So their ‘fame’ was maybe something they weren’t really looking for.

And… how old were the kids? I think many parents realise that privacy online is a completely different ballgame when it comes to children, who can consent and may have their own negative opinions on their lives being shared in such detail.

The ‘baby reindeer’ type thing isn’t an impossibility. I have a couple of friends who are ‘micro influencers’ and they regularly get people obsessively following, commenting, even sending stuff to their house etc.

If an influencer disappears from the internet suddenly - PLEASE LET THEM

There could be things going on that your armchair investigative skills are making worse. Leave them alone!

I dont know anything about this couple but in general I'd say live by the sword, die by the sword applies especially if you've been monitising your followers

Never heard of these people but I’d be checking tattle for info.

I mean, no one's really doing much (not that we are able to anyway!). No one is not 'letting them'. We are all just pondering, and hoping they are well.
