@KnickerlessParsons Or more recently, the woman who went down a tunnel in her boyfriend's house.

🤯 I need to know more about this…..

They found a tunnel leading from the house. Quite a long one. They couldn't see the end. They sent a robotic car down with a camera down the hole but it got stuck. Last we heard the OP was going to crawl in to see where it went. We never had an update 🤔

KnickerlessParsons · 08/05/2024 19:46

Here you go To be irritated about DP and the tunnel? http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/amiibeingunreasonable/5031274-to-be-irritated-about-dp-and-the-tunnel

Good luck with the surgery @YaMuvva
I thought you'd be back.
I believed in you, like Tinkerbell you know, and here you are. 💫
Looking forward to more when you're feeling up to it.

godmum56 · 08/05/2024 20:16

my very best wishes for a speedy recovery and a wonderful allotment summer.

WiddlinDiddlin · 08/05/2024 20:26

Oh no, best wishes for surgery and a quick recovery, ideally spent lazing about in a deckchair watching your DH dig the allotment!

Billybagpuss · 08/05/2024 20:26

have a speedy recovery

in the meantime DH needs to be sowing lots of things ready to plant. It’s limited as we’ve missed the potato and onion window for this year. But not too late for beans beetroot, chard, salady things maybe sweetcorn but get on it quickly.

Bluerabbitplates · 08/05/2024 20:30

I’ve seen Babs a few times come out her house and she has a face like a bulldog licking piss off a thistle and ignores me.

Think I must know her twin sister OP, she lives next door to me!

YaMuvva · 08/05/2024 20:35

Oh and we have heard NOTHING from Sally Seller’s solicitor.

So we’d have to make a separate claim / our solicitors say she may well be ghosting them

Wishing you a speedy recovery, and not just because I’m severely invested in this (I mean partly that but mainly wishing you all the best for your surgery and hope you feel much better soon).

BasilParsley · 08/05/2024 18:14

@YaMuvva thank you for the update and I wish you a speedy recovery. I quite understand why you've not been focussing on this thread for a while. I hope DH's visit to the allotment tomoz goes well. Will he be able to update on your behalf whilst you recover? I hope you have some seedlings growing ready for when you have possession and can plant them out xxx

I shall ask him!
Im scheduled to go in at 7.30am(!!) but I don’t think my surgery will be anywhere near them, it will take a few hours then I’ll be recovered so if I post nonsense it may be the anaesthetic 😂

I then get a night at least in hospital. Is it awful that I’m looking forward to having my meals cooked for me and being able to lie in bed undisturbed 😆

I hope the surgery and recovery is without incident. You will be able to sit on a chair in the sunshine and watch your husband enjoying the allotment.

DH actually came back from Lidl with anti/gravity chairs for our allotment the other day - he only went for biscuits and teabags and came back with chairs and a fecking gazebo (for the the garden).

LenaLamont · 08/05/2024 18:48

Best of luck with the surgery and recovery - think how nice it will be to sit on a comfortable chair at your allotment issuing instructions to DH while Babs sits at home making cat bum faces.

I’ve been speaking to an agent about the musical rights. Tom Holland is free from early next year if you can fine a role for an energetic young man in the cast of characters.

Oooh who could Tom Holland play now?

Bab’s rebellious son?

Crikey - if you’re looking forward to hospital food, you must be exhausted!

So is Sheridan Smith the surgeon? She always gets her face in.

Hope they surgery goes well OP!

BasilParsley · 08/05/2024 21:25

@YaMuvva No, it's not awful for you to think "that I’m looking forward to having my meals cooked for me and being able to lie in bed undisturbed". Enjoy the rest! However, from experience whilst the hospital food maybe good (or not depending on the venue!) I suspect there may be issues regarding the "undisturbed" bit if you have to stay in overnight... Unless you happen to be in a private room...

I think I’d be lucky although I’ve had a room to myself before in this hospital the the food is actually nice, they have a really good restaurant too that actually has nearly 5 stars on Google reviews I’ve known people to go into the hospital just for the restaurant 🤣

I wish you all a good week,

Having had a fortnight in hospital, you're not at all unreasonable for looking forward to having meals cooked and being able to rest without being disturbed. You sure just one night is sufficient recovery time?!
Wishing you all the best for your op.

Picoloangel · 08/05/2024 22:38

Yay @YaMuvva I never stopped believing! Hope all goes well and that you'll
soon be on a lounger waving at Babs and laughing a tinkly laugh as she passes by the allotment.

Good luck tomorrow. I’m not sure who is the cheekiest CF in this; Babs or Sally.

Silvers11 · 09/05/2024 00:59

@YaMuvva Hope all goes well with your op today and recovery is straightforward. Thank you for posting the update - and if you can, do let us know what happens with Babs. Take Care

Nanaof1 · 09/05/2024 01:19

I hope your surgery goes perfectly and you get a good night's rest in the hospital.

Last time I was in the hospital, I could always look forward to being woken up and asked, "Do you need something to help you sleep?".

P.S. The answer is NOT, "Yes, some quiet and uninterrupted sleep". 🤔😇

@Bluerabbitplates
I could have written this. They’re a type, these Babs women. Can’t cope with not getting their own (unreasonable) way, despite their aggressive bullying. Any husband has either long scarpered or is a complete doormat.

Best wishes to @YaMuvva.
