Using salt would just get rid of the bastard slugs, so doing everybody a favour in the long run really.

But this would get rid of the good slugs too if you did that [Some only eat decaying vegetable matter, and some are cannibals].
And make anything that ate slugs very poorly.

Elderly Korean Lady was my suggestion. Luckily there should be plenty of cabbage around for her to get a head start on the kimchi, which as any fule kno must be fermented for a period of time. She can set up a field kitchen in Barbara's shed.

I see to remember EKL had ninja like insect killing skills. Maybe she could have a role like Mr Miyagi?

Wax on, wax off. Babs doesn't stand a chance. Also EKL's son can dismantle the shed and deliver it to Bab's house.

If Babs has even a sprinkling of common sense (big if, I realise) any anger or bitterness about the reality of the situation will hopefully be directed at Sally, who is the sole cause of all of this bollocks. She’s done both Babs & garage neighbour dirty by failing to recognise her legal obligations when she decided to sell.

I've wondered about Midsommer for years. Now that it must surely be the murder capital of the world, how on earth do they ever sell any houses there? Given the amount of murders, there must be an absolute glut of properties but how do they find anyone stupid enough to move to the place?

(Yes, I do know it's fictional but still ...) 🤔

Also the tropical island of St Marie.

editing to add I see many , many people have had similar thoughts about St Marie. Low visa requirements. High gun crime.

Perhaps one of the other plot holders could be a retired copper Ted Hastings.
Though I'd like Gene Hunt to be in it somewhere - the allotment site manager or a local councillor who also happens to be Bab's son.
Now that could provide another plot twist if you pardon the pun.
