many lovely things have been discontinued that I really enjoyed growing up, Burton's potato puffs, the original Ringos crisps as they were in the 80s & early 90s. Topic bars, Riva chocolate bars. plus many many more
what do you really miss that they no longer make?

Ainsley Harriot chocolate bars were lovely too. Can no longer find them anywhere used to sell them in home bargains.

Oh thanks, @Glitterybee . DH and DD are actually going to Ireland in the summer, so I'll ask them to buy a few bars as souvenirs!

YesThatsATurdOnTheRug · 13/04/2024 00:10

Potato triangles. Haven't had them for probably 20 years and I'm still not over it!

ilovesooty · 13/04/2024 00:13

Brannigans Roast Beef & Mustard crisps.

These were the first things that came to mind. I was telling my kids about them the other day. Truly the king of crisps

Mint Cracknell chocolate bars.
Spangles. Fruit and Olde English.

Rise ‘N Shine. Although I am not actually sure I would like it these days. Used to be a treat for breakfast when we went on caravan park holidays.

Waifa bars? I think that is what they were called. I used to say Walfa.

Phineas fog Pom purri crisps
The not Angel Delight, but like it, that you made with water and was in lemon and strawberry flavours.

Was that Green's? A sort of instant mousse?

bingoringo4 · 13/04/2024 00:17

Toast toppers. I'll never get over it 😪

ilovepixie · 13/04/2024 00:23

Suchard filled mini eggs
Toffee and mallow eggs
Mint wispa
Tudor pickled onion crisps
Pot rice like pot noodle but with rice
M&S used to do a syrup sponge and custard pudding, it was all in one pot and eaten cold it was lovely. They also did chicken in a basket crisps, they were like a rugby ball shape in a lattice and they were gorgeous.

Prismsandrainbows · 13/04/2024 00:25

Coconut Boost

Creamola Foam

Drifter

Secret Bar

Many years ago M&S had a fruit juice drink ( i.e. not 100% juice ) called
' Sunfruit ' I believe, blue 1ltr carton with pictures of assorted fruit on it.
Also came in little cartons with straw, 3 pack ?

M&S also made a Hummus and ( grated ) Carrot sandwich, with watercress I think - I picked it out - 1998, don't know when they discontinued it

buttercupcake · 13/04/2024 00:38

M&S maple pecan peanut butter

Sushilover14 · 13/04/2024 00:40

Strawberry supermousse.. and tesco light choices sandwiches. Also marks used to do an incredible wrap which I loved - chargrilled veg - one day it was discontinued- I was gutted. And the no sugar shreddies which only were out about ten months.

Hopingtobe4 · 13/04/2024 00:45

Toast toppers. I'll never get over it 😪

I used to LOVE Toast Toppers...the chicken and mushroom one was superb.
Aniseed rock from the quarters jars
Pacers, Toffos, Spangles...agree with all of those
Space Raiders crisps were good. As were spicy twiglets..brief apperance but never forgotten.

Anuggetofpurestgreen · 13/04/2024 01:00

Also Smarties Easter egg chocolate shell. When Rowntrees owned it before Nestle took over and fiddled with the chocolate recipe. In fact old Smarties were so much better than now overall.

Springtimewingtime · 13/04/2024 01:04

Trio!

R41nb0wR0se · 13/04/2024 01:18

Habbyhadno · 13/04/2024 01:32

Wotsits frozen potato croquette things were AMAZING - a staple of my student days.

forgivingfiggy · 13/04/2024 01:32

Tudor Specials crisps.

Someone above mentioned Sara Lee danish pastry - I remember M&S doing a pecan with an icing drizzle and a chocolate danish - you cooked them in the oven. We used to have them with pouring cream for a Sunday pudding.

forgivingfiggy · 13/04/2024 01:33

Were Riva bars almost mousse-like in the middle?

greyrockagain · 13/04/2024 01:41

Findus Crispy Pancakes. Beef (flavor, sure not much actual beef. My first taste of convenience food. Sorry 😂

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 13/04/2024 02:04

@TheTigerWhoCameToEatMyHusband re Milky way crispy rolls, DD got nostalgic about them the other week, reminiscing about how I'd get her a pack as a toddler, from the corner shop close to her nursery. But we couldn't find them anywhere now! I ended up ordering a box on amazon (well it was her birthday).

Cheesy flavor Nik Naks weren't that good but I still get cravings sometimes. Student era treat for me.
