Could you eat a 12” pizza?

Like Domino’s takeaway style not Neapolitan/woodfired or supermarket.

I could easily. Not too often but nice way to get 2000 kcal in one go.

Absolutely, possibly even two. But I'm a savage.

Saucery · 07/04/2024 20:46

I’d struggle with the crusts tbh.

FourEyesGood · 07/04/2024 20:46

Definitely.

Readingtheworld · 07/04/2024 20:47

Yes!

MoreLidlThanWaitrose · 07/04/2024 20:47

Obviously.

SabreIsMyFave · 07/04/2024 20:50

No. Me and DH actually split a 12" pizza between us (and have a modest portion of pasta each - and a slice of garlic bread each,) for a meal. We also buy a portion of cod and chips and mushy peas and share it with a piece of bread and butter each...

And no we're not 'teeny tinies,' OR 'pensioners.' We just aren't massive eaters. There's actually nothing wrong with not being huge eaters. Some people eat less than others. Who knew?! Wink

Cue the sarcy comments from people about people who eat smaller portions... and totes hilaire comments about how their whole family makes half a pizza last a week. yawn... Wink

ShirleyPhallus · 07/04/2024 20:50

We buy one between a family of 4 (including 2 sporty teens) and then serve with a few pieces of sweetcorn / cucumber on the side. Stuffed for days!!

MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira · 07/04/2024 20:52

Yes but I'm not a massive pizza fan, especially dominos. 2000 calories of curry on the other hand......
There's a reason I'm on a diet.

somptuosité · 07/04/2024 20:54

Not dominoes 🤮 Local Italian restaurant definitely.

underscorer · 07/04/2024 20:54

Yeah I could. Might regret it afterwards but could certainly do it.

Interesting. I reckon 2000kcal of curry would be a plain naan, a pilau rice, a chicken tikka masala and an onion bhaji and I could also easily eat that in one sitting.

No. Half, usually. Second half the next day.

Frequency · 07/04/2024 21:00

No, I don't like tomato paste. A 12-inch garlic bread with cheese, however...

We've always served one pizza per person for adult-sized people unless we're having starters and sides too.

Before yes, now no.
Maybe if it was with a thin base,i would give it a go.
This reminds me of a time I was in a pizza chain restaurant and ordered a pizza with salad. Was on my own on a work trip and starving.
I was so sad when it came out with a huge hole in the middle filled with salad. None of the gooey centre but lots of crust.

Theredfoxfliesatmidnight · 07/04/2024 21:00

I could and do 😁

Hard luck. I can only imagine the disappointment 😞

That's sounds sarky, but it's not. I'd be proper gutted

MyOtherCarisAVauxhallZafira · 07/04/2024 21:03

@bumburlinga I see your curry based offer and raise it 😂

MissingMoominMamma · 07/04/2024 21:10

No. I haven’t had Dominoes in years because they were always so greasy.

A thin crust stone baked affair- definitely!!

Jokl · 07/04/2024 21:11

Not a chance. Funnily enough I had a similar-to-dominos pizza this evening, a 12”, and managed half. Half for tomorrow 😋

Kalevala · 07/04/2024 21:16

I wouldn't want to, I don't like that style of pizza. If it was a decent woodfired one, yes. I mean I could, if I didn't know where my next few meals were coming from.

DrJoanAllenby · 07/04/2024 21:17

No. My limit is two slices.

A whole rice? I don't find there's enough curry for a rice and naan, one or the other or a half of each.

Simd1 · 07/04/2024 21:19

No. Unfortunately pizza at dinnertime really sets off my acid reflux issues. I could only eat a moderate portion otherwise I'd be up in the night with heartburn.

Hopebridge · 07/04/2024 21:21

Easily 😅

DagenhamDanny · 07/04/2024 21:25

I occasionally feast on a 14 inch pizza in one go. 😳
