Could you eat a 12” pizza?

Like Domino’s takeaway style not Neapolitan/woodfired or supermarket.

I could easily. Not too often but nice way to get 2000 kcal in one go.

Is that dominoes small?

SheGotOffThePlane · 07/04/2024 21:27

Ha! This reminds me of the night I met my now husband, and I was super skinny back then. His eyes were like saucers as I polished off a large dominos pizza and a side by myself. Now, I can barely manage a half a pizza.

NeverDropYourMooncup · 07/04/2024 21:30

Pretty sure that kind of thing was exactly why men came up with the OMAD theory in the first place.

No. Me and DH actually split a 12" pizza between us (and have a modest portion of pasta each - and a slice of garlic bread each,) for a meal. We also buy a portion of cod and chips and mushy peas and share it with a piece of bread and butter each...

And no we're not 'teeny tinies,' OR 'pensioners.' We just aren't massive eaters. There's actually nothing wrong with not being huge eaters. Some people eat less than others. Who knew?! Wink

Cue the sarcy comments from people about people who eat smaller portions... and totes hilaire comments about how their whole family makes half a pizza last a week. yawn... Wink

But surely if you weren’t padding it out with pasta and bread you could eat it?I mean gnats still a lot of food.

WittiestUsernameEver · 07/04/2024 21:30

My DH has polished off an entire Costco pizza before... 18".

I don't know if I could do a 12" dominos, but only because I haven't had one in maybe 15 years...

Ddff · 07/04/2024 21:33

Yes and a second quite easily with a tub of haagen daaz to follow which is why I’m fucking fat…

RJnomore1 · 07/04/2024 21:33

What size is that, medium or large?

mitogoshi · 07/04/2024 21:34

The Domino's large ones are 13.5 I think, I can eat 7 or 8 out of the 10 segments

KoolKookaburra · 07/04/2024 21:35

RJnomore1 · 07/04/2024 21:33

What size is that, medium or large?

If its small I can eat it. If its large I have to be pissed

Yearendjoy · 07/04/2024 21:35

No. I can't eat a 9 inch pizza myself. I'm a grazer and prefer to eat little and often so can't eat a lot in one go.

I think the "personal" size would be the one for you then

itsatail · 07/04/2024 21:36

Yes but I am fat

TheChosenTwo · 07/04/2024 21:40

I don’t know how many slices that is but I would get myself a pizza with 6 slices from Pizza Hut (heathen! They are my favourite takeaway pizza - the fancy Italian restaurant that do pizza deliver near me is also lovely but nothing hits quite like a PH pizza!) - I will eat 4 of the slices in one go and the other 2 heated up in the oven the next day for breakfast.
Not sure what size that is but whatever the 6 slice pizza is, medium I think. I do like the deep pan base which is obviously a lot more filling than the rubbish thin crust.

fluffi · 07/04/2024 21:42

Yes, although I’d rather have a large stuffed crust!

LifeofBrienne · 07/04/2024 21:43

Yes, if it’s proper pizza restaurant thin base pizza (I’m a bit stuffed afterwards but it’s worth it).

That’s still a large meal though, I definitely wouldn’t accuse you of being teeny tinies based on that. I get the same feeling on alcohol threads though, I rarely drink alcohol and find the comments about “half a thimble full of sherry at Christmas” tedious.

Anyway, getting back to the question, I don’t think I could eat a whole medium Dominos if that’s what we are talking about, but could manage more than half, however I try to limit myself to less than that and have salad with it.

soupfiend · 07/04/2024 21:45

When I was younger easily yes.

inappropriateraspberry · 07/04/2024 21:46

Easily. Is that not the point of them? Can also have some chips with it.

Kitkat1523 · 07/04/2024 21:48

I could eat half

soupfiend · 07/04/2024 21:48

Blankname22 · 07/04/2024 21:00

Before yes, now no.
Maybe if it was with a thin base,i would give it a go.
This reminds me of a time I was in a pizza chain restaurant and ordered a pizza with salad. Was on my own on a work trip and starving.
I was so sad when it came out with a huge hole in the middle filled with salad. None of the gooey centre but lots of crust.

What sort of place was this??

They should have been shut down. Did you go to the papers or anything?

QueenOfTheEntireFuckingUniverse · 07/04/2024 21:48

Yes. Plus a side. Chicken wings preferably.

buswankerz · 07/04/2024 21:48

No. Me and my kids share that and a bag of chips out the chip shop and we're all full. In my house that would feed 1 adult and 2 children.

soupfiend · 07/04/2024 21:49

Oh Ive just remembered, triggered by the salad in a pile of crusts post, I never used to eat the crusts so yes I would eat the majority of it.

Eliztiff · 07/04/2024 21:49

I could, but I wouldn’t.

bryceQ · 07/04/2024 21:49

I could as a teenager but not now. I'm full from 4 slices of domino's. Not competitive underwater my appetite has just changed
