Could you eat a 12” pizza?

Like Domino’s takeaway style not Neapolitan/woodfired or supermarket.

I could easily. Not too often but nice way to get 2000 kcal in one go.

Tried and tested I can eat 2/3 of a 12 inch Dominos in one sitting, and I save 1/3 for lunch the next day.

daffodilandtulip · 07/04/2024 21:51

Not dominoes, I find them sickly. Would share one with DD and DS would have his own. But I had a 10" to myself from the Indian last night. Thick base, dominoes style but I don't know what the difference is 🤷🏼‍♀️

No, I don't like tomato paste. A 12-inch garlic bread with cheese, however...

We've always served one pizza per person for adult-sized people unless we're having starters and sides too.

You should try a BBQ base pizza. Unbelievable

Mumaway · 07/04/2024 21:53

I could and have in the past, but in recent years dominos makes me feel really awful afterwards. I wonder if it's all the sugar and salt in one go??
Our local posh pizza place does a giant sharing pizza. It's very thin crust but topping heavy, although I reckon I could have a good bash at one to myself....

MiddleParking · 07/04/2024 21:53

Not usually. I have been known to eat a 14” pizza in one sitting before but usually it takes me two days. It would never be Dominos though, far too sweet for me. Our local pizza place is truly amazing thin chewy pizza but the salt would kill a horse, you devour it because it’s so delicious then you can’t sleep for a week.

Ginkypig · 07/04/2024 21:54

Not very often but occasionally, maybe a couple of times a year yes!
I wouldn’t fancy trying unless i hadn’t had loads throughout the day though.
I don’t eat tomato base or meat so it’s a bbq/white base with onion and sweetcorn for me.
Would that make it less filling than a full on meaty pizza? I do find the last couple of slices are a struggle but it’s not enough for the next day so I force it lol.

if we ordered a large I’d eat half then half the next day.

transformandriseup · 07/04/2024 21:55

I remember there was a thread on here a few years ago on how much of a Dominos pizza people could eat. I reckoned that a third was my limit but after DH and I ordered one each with the intention of saving some for the next day I realised it was actually very easy to eat a whole one to yourself 😂

NameChangedAgainn · 07/04/2024 21:55

A proper thin crust Italian pizza? Easily, but it wouldn't be 2000 calories.
A dominoes/similar - no I'd feel sick about three quarters of the way through.

TheTimeIsNowMaybeNow · 07/04/2024 21:55

Not anymore , I have to have a portion of strippers as well.though so that's probably why

AuntieStella · 07/04/2024 21:56

Yes, I can, and it's my go-to treat after running a half marathon or further

Youdontevengohere · 07/04/2024 21:57

Yes I could, easily, and have in the past. I wouldn’t nowadays as if I didn’t strictly regulate my food intake I’d be the size of a house.

WhatADayToHaveEyes · 07/04/2024 21:57

Yes but it would usually be the bulk of it in one sitting and an hour later I’d finish off the last 2-3 slices and be cross with myself for not saving it for lunch!

Zola1 · 07/04/2024 21:57

I absolutely could. I am a pizza fiend for Domino's. In fact I might enter takeaway negotiations for next weekend with my child to secure a Domino's agreement in advance

determinedtomakethiswork · 07/04/2024 21:58

Is the 12 inch the medium one?

Malarandras · 07/04/2024 21:59

A 12” pizza in a good restaurant, or a homemade one, yes. Domino’s definitely not. Each to their own but I hate Domino’s.

Uncooperativefingers · 07/04/2024 22:00

Probably not. DH and I usually share a supermarket pizza when we have them, although it's usually one of the larger oval shaped ones, so not sure how big they are.

I struggle to eat lots of bread-like stuff in one go though, will often eat a sandwich at lunch in two goes etc

hby9628 · 07/04/2024 22:00

Absolutely although I do like to save a slice or 2 for my breakfast the next day. Cold pizza in the morning is one of the best things.

SparklyBracelet · 07/04/2024 22:00

Eliztiff · 07/04/2024 21:49

I could, but I wouldn’t.

Nor me. Not a fan of pizza but I can deffo do the Indian main dish, a side, rice, keema Nan and 4 pints of lager

EndoEnd · 07/04/2024 22:01

Easy, and the tub of Ben & Jerry's afterwards. 🍕🍦

Jf20 · 07/04/2024 22:01

Dominoes medium is 11.5 inches.

bumburlinga · 07/04/2024 22:02

Not sure which Domino’s size it is. I rarely order actual Domino’s - these days prefer kebab ship pizza and can almost always get 2 x 12” for £18. From memory, seems a little smaller than Domino’s large but definitely bigger than their medium.

peloton2024 · 07/04/2024 22:02

Yep, no problem

I have a separate pizza stomach I think. Struggle with large amounts of rice or pasta but pizza never an issue

NeedWineNow · 07/04/2024 22:02

Yes if it’s a thin crust from our local place or Pizza Express. Dominos have never appealed to me even though we have one 30 seconds from our front door.

Halloweenrainbow · 07/04/2024 22:02

Thin margarita easily. Deep pan with stuffed crust and toppings probably not.

Crabble · 07/04/2024 22:04

soupfiend · 07/04/2024 21:48

What sort of place was this??

They should have been shut down. Did you go to the papers or anything?

I’m not sure if it’s where the poster means, but Pizza Express sell these
