I’ll start with Ryan Reynolds. He honestly seems completely down to earth, responsive to his fans and likes to have a good joke at his own expense

J K Rowling. No explanation needed.

Jamie Dornan. I always think he comes across as genuine and down to earth in interviews. His desert island discs episode was lovely.

Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothy. They’ve done a lot of good for poverty and homelessness through their foundation.

Millie Bobby Brown. She seems lovely, down to earth and a huge animal lover.

Taylor Swift. She seems to have good morals and stands up for what she believes in.

I’ve always thought Richard Osman comes across as a good egg.

I saw a live recording of a panel show he was hosting once. Some of the "celebs " weren't particularly skillful and he was properly grumpy about all the retakes.

Lorraine Kelly was on the same show and was lovely to everyone - and didn't need any retakes at all.

Toooldforthis36 · 04/04/2024 13:21

Keanu Reeves, Bob Mortimer, Cillian Murphy and Sean Lock.

that’s a film I’d watch 🤣

JMSA · 04/04/2024 13:23

I always really liked the look of Emily Blunt. But then I saw a clip of her on the Jonathan Ross show, talking about how fat a waitress in a restaurant was. JR had the good grace not to entertain it for a second.
Keanu Reeves also gets my vote.
Colleagues of my daughter met Bill Murray just the other week, and said he was lovely.

Dermot O Leary

Declan Donnelly

Stacey Solomon?

She's not nice but her pr is top notch.

VerlynWebbe · 04/04/2024 13:24

I have a long list including many people on this thread (and I have a shitlist including a few on this thread) but the person that most impressed me with his complete genuineness was Martin Lewis.

Rylan
Keanu Reeves

Ooh yeah Rylan. Watched him being interviewed and he was properly slating a senior member of production staff for being mean to a junior 👍

Echobelly · 04/04/2024 13:26

Dave Grohl
Keanu Reeves
Halle Berry - she was very game about admitting how bad 'Catwoman' was, evern accepting a Razzie award for it, and has done a lot of work, including quietly volunteering, for victims of domestic violence

NoSnowdrop · 04/04/2024 13:27

Ah I forgot Jonathan Ross!

HÆLTHEPAIN · 04/04/2024 13:27

TruthThatsHardAsSteel · 04/04/2024 13:11

There was a great documentary on him when he passed away "Paul oGrady". There was another one on the other night about Lily Savage. Both itv I'm pretty sure

Thank you, I’ll have a watch.

Blackcats7 · 04/04/2024 13:29

JK Rowling of course
Dave Myers seemed a lovely man

JMSA · 04/04/2024 13:30

NoSnowdrop · 04/04/2024 13:27

Ah I forgot Jonathan Ross!

He has a kind face I think.

Riverlee · 04/04/2024 13:31

Matt Baker
Kate Humble
Michaela Strachen
Michael Ball
Jane Macdonald
Jamie Callum

Iggleoggledaffy · 04/04/2024 13:34

Nigella Lawson sprinkles niceness all over social media. Or she’s got a VERY good management team. despite bereavements and other shit, she just gives an air of loveliness (with a heavy dose of sarcastic self mockery).

TheComplexBear · 04/04/2024 13:35

I think Martina Navratilova comes across so well. Unfortunately I know someone that spent a day with her (a number of years ago but after she had retired). She was being hosted in a very relaxed and what should be enjoyable setting. She was apparently a nightmare - complained incessantly and nothing was right. I hope she was just having an off day.

Singleandproud · 04/04/2024 13:36

@Echobelly I believe Halle Berry was also instrumental in leading a class action against paparazzi and the taking photos of celebrities children going about their business in the 00s and preventing them from camping out at the school gates etc.

rainontherooftop · 04/04/2024 13:38

What's Stacey Solomon done? I've not heard any bad reports about her.

I'd agree with the following
Ricky G
JKR
Hugh Grant

I also think Jamie Oliver seems fundamentally decent, and Jason Manford (despite his sexting scandal from years ago and a questionable tweet a few weeks ago that got deleted. He does a lot of charity work and seems happy to chat to fans)

At the end of the day they're all human and can be twats occasionally like the rest of us.

Globules · 04/04/2024 13:42

Surprised by all the love for Ricky Gervais.

Friend said he expects things done for him because he's famous.

An animal lover does not always equate to a nice/good person.

TheComplexBear · 04/04/2024 13:44

I like to think Graham Norton is genuinely nice. He comes across so well in both his show and books.

11NigelTufnel · 04/04/2024 13:44

I do always think of Rylan with things like this. He checked on his friend after his birthday night out and realised her door was ajar and closed it. Sadly she was raped after, but the arsehole had to use a hotel swipe key, so was identified. He never said anything about it as it was her story to tell.

Very sad if it is true about Stacey Solomon, I love her tv stuff.

Cocolapew · 04/04/2024 13:45

If I remember correctly Rose from The Pottery Showdown wasn't very pleasant about women on Twitter.
