I’ll start with Ryan Reynolds. He honestly seems completely down to earth, responsive to his fans and likes to have a good joke at his own expense

Robin Williams. He used to insist that homeless people were given jobs on every film he made.

Both no longer with us, but George Michael and Paul O'Grady.

Current celebrities? Maybe Harry Styles, no-one has ever commented on him being a twat.

Totally agree with this. I know George had his problems in later years but all the stuff that came out after he died about what he did was just so heartwarming. And not even ‘just’ giving money away - he actually went and helped at soup kitchens and homeless shelters and made people keep it to themselves.

And yep, the same with Paul O’Grady. I don’t know as much about him as I did George but I always loved watching him. He seemed like someone you could sit and put the world to rights with for hours on end.

Jk Rowling

I've said this before on a similar thread, but I think Jay Blades and all the other Repair Shop people (especially the Teddy Bear Ladies) plus Keith Rich Rose and Siobhan from Pottery Throwdown all seem like lovely people and I want them all to come to my birthday party!

I would love to take Martin Lewis and James Timpson out for a drink and thank them for all they do for our society and the humanity they continually model.

A friend said Jeff Goldblum is the nicest celebrity she's ever worked with. 5/7 days contact with him every week over 6 months. He didn't put a foot wrong and was generous. She said the same of Tom Hanks after her two weeks with him.

Sallysslippers · 04/04/2024 12:41

Claes Bang. Met him after seeing him in a play then he replied to my message on social media. Very sweet and hyper. Seemed very genuine.

Ahhh I’m so glad about Jeff and Tom! Lovely.

I’ve always thought Richard Osman comes across as a good egg.

Have you listened to his podcast with Marina Hyde, The Rest is Entertainment? He is very warm and witty and so knowledgeable about TV production. I’ve developed a big crush on him since I started listening to that! We were actually at the same Cambridge college but he (and Alexander Armstrong) left the year before I started. In my fantasy alternate life we hung out together all the time.

Emilia Clarke

Jennifer Lawrence

Gillian Anderson

Christian Slater was honestly very kind. He randomly helped me out more than once.

Juliet Stevenson. She's the queen of everything in my opinion.

Yes, it’s brilliant! My mum recommended it and I’m hooked.

He’s so lovely on House of Games, just hits the perfect level of banter without ever being mean or patronising! He makes you feel you’re all in friendship group having a games night over wine.

Gutted that you missed out on the chance to be his BFF in uni!

VivienneDelacroix · 04/04/2024 12:47

Rylan Clark - everyone who has met him says how lovely and humble he is. And there's a brilliant podcast where he talks about the importance of being nice to everyone and understanding that he's not special.

Mrsjayy · 04/04/2024 12:48

Jack Lowden I saw him on Graham Norton and liked him instantly seems a .Good guy.

NewMe2024 · 04/04/2024 12:49

Definitely JKR. Quite apart from anything else is risking her own safety to speak up about GC issues.

On a personal level, I once worked on a theatre show with Kathy Burke and she was a thoroughly decent human.

Oh I listened to that I love Rylan.

I was about to say that - a really good guy.
