Anyone remember Rod Jane and Freddy?

This is showing my age a bit but for some reason Rod Jane and Freddy came into my mind this morning and I was wondering who else remembers them?!

Of course! Marvellous. Jane was married to Rod first, then married Freddy years later. Saucy moo. 😂

Rainbow! There was one before Freddy iirc.

My childhood was Rainbow absolutely loved it although for a while I don't know why Bungle scared me 😂
Another favourite of mine was Pipkins..Hartley hare ..good old days I wish I could go back anyone coming?!!😂😂

The sharks in the big tank at London aquarium used to be called Rod, Jane and Freddy after Rainbow 🤣

I remember they did a robot song on one episode and even now, 40 years on, I can remember how scary I found it. Loved the rest of their songs though.

God yes there was definitely a weird undercurrent- that you only notice looking back as an adult. 🤨

That said, I always hated Zippy especially his voice 😂

The cat we had at the time loved Rainbow for some reason, was always attentive.

I liked Zippy and George, especially Zippy.

Bungle was a bit of a worry wart iirc. He always needed reassurance from Geoffrey.

Why did Rod, Jane and Freddy always appear together though? It was never just one of them popping in.

Of course! I still have the 1984 annual and a 70s vinyl record. Can still sing all the songs. The first Freddy was called Matt. I am sure they influenced my music tastes 🤣

Geoffrey was really extremely shit at disciplining Zippy. I blame him for the obvious behavioural issues.
Agree about the voice...aaaaah! The Tweenies had the same effect on my eardrums when the kids were small. Shut up you unbearable stuffed shouty bastards!
George had amazing eyelashes.
Bungle was massively a bit creepy.
I always used to get Rod, Jane and Freddy confused with ABBA as a kid.

Roger was with Rod and Jane prior to Freddie.
