Coloured kitchen knives - as in brightly coloured serrated sharp knives for cutting veg etc. I love them a ridiculous amount!

Marking!
Mine is £15 London theatre tickets from Central Co Uk.

Just looked this website up. Central.co.uk doesn't exist but is for sale and guessed ticketcentral.co.uk but it randomly goes onto a magic memories site?! What's the name as would be great next time I go to London!! 😲😉

I had a Google because this sounds like my type of thing too @BestieNo1 . I'm thinking it might be this one

So sorry, it's this one. Home Page | London | Central Tickets A seatfiller site. There's a lot of crap as well, but every so often I get a real bargain. Most recently, it was Guys and Dolls , Alan Cumming's stage show and Fleetwood Mac tribute band ( much better than it sounds). I really recommend Guys and Dolls; it's brilliant.

If you've already got one, the sound of a cat purring.

I don't have one, but a cat who lives in a pub near me visits me daily ( I don't feed him but he seems to like the quiet in my study). Totally agree. Such a simple joy.

I opened the lid of my recycling bin a couple of years ago, to find about 20 of these had been put in the caddy. No idea who put them there as it was before I got a ring camera. I was a but freaked out at first, but my Dad was over the moon as I gave them all to him.

The newest installment of Murderbot. The e-books are pricier than most but they're so worth it.

I borrow these on the library app Libby.

This is a lovely thread :-)

My current top five are

  1. New, thick, 100% wool insoles, for a feeling akin to what I imagine walking on clouds would be like
  2. New bamboo socks
  3. A book (a real one), either new or pre-loved, and the time to read it
  4. Some really good quality smoked fish for my weekday lunches - mackerel or trout are my current go-to, with smoked scallops if I really want to push the boat out
  5. Some real, local honey

I'll have some money left in the budget, too, as happily most of those come in closer to a tenner.

Popeyewhereareyou · 07/04/2024 09:54

I use these and find them fabulous: Chimney Sheep Women's Snug Feet™ 100% Herdwick Wool Boot Insoles: Amazon.co.uk: Fashion

Be aware these particular ones are really thick - great for slippers and soft-topped shoes. Stiffer footwear would likely need a slimmer insole, unless they're on the roomy side.

Thank you, that is very helpful, they are now in my wishlist😁.

Ice Cream.

Alstroemeria flowers - look rubbish when you buy them but just get better and better and last for 2+ weeks and you can get 2 bunches for less than £6.

Libby - for audiobooks and magazines- free with my library card.

A bag of Haribos - supermix are my favourite.

Spotify premium- though they are sneaking ads into podcasts way too much now!
