How many Easter eggs have you eaten today?

Curious 😆 how many and what type ?
I had half of a cadburys crunchie egg, so high in sugar so don’t know if i wanna eat the rest yet , but I’m so tempted 😭

As atheists we don’t follow the Easter story but have Easter eggs and bunnies because they are fun and any excuse for chocolate!

Family in Austria dye and paint hens eggs as was the original tradition I believe as eggs represent rebirth. Chocolate came later.

Okay guys it’s officially Easter now so let’s hear what eggs yous have eaten or plan to today 🤣 I ate my crunchie egg last night and ate the crunchie bar as part of breakfast 🤣

Wow people are so strict about their Easter egg consumption! I never knew that!

In the old days I'd eat one smallish egg a day all the time they were in the shops- or for the couple of weeks in the run up at least.

Now I've been vegan 10 years it's less of an issue as vegan ones are less easy to find - think I'd be the size of a house by now if I hadn't gone vegan!! Plus it sorted a couple of health issues for me. IBS and sinusitis. So very much recommended ♥️🌱

I won't get given one until I get to my DP's later today. (I wasn't surprised). So none yet.

Still none so far. Will open one when I'm watching the footy later after a roast.

So far I've had one mini lemon truffle egg and one mini strawberry truffle egg.

I'm pacing myself.

Also the kids have had their Easter hunt and have left it in a sharing box that will be unregulated meaning I can sneak in some more 😂

Am quite amused by how this thread seems to have skewed towards the people who haven’t eaten any when I imagine the average is at least one!

I was fully expecting a sanctimonious goodie informing us that Easter isn't about chocolate eggs etc. Quite refreshing to have not seen that anywhere on social media today (so far)

None because I'm on a strict healthy eating plan trying to get ready for a knee replacement! There's chocolate in the kitchen but it doesn't bother me as much as giving up crisps does 😂

You may not eat any before Easter but I can assure you many people do. Do you really think supermarkets would display Easter eggs from 1 January onwards if no one was eating them for three months?

As an atheist who was brought up Jewish I have zero skin in the ‘it’s not allowed until Easter Sunday’ game. But I am heavily invested in the ‘chocolate tastes better in egg form’ game!

Isn't it weird how even when something is logically (almost) impossible there's still a bit of us that hopes it will happen ?

I haven't eaten mine yet. It's beautiful and I don't want to smash it up! I will later on though when the DC have gone to bed.

I've had maybe half of my Butlers egg. It's very rich though, so I'm eating it slower than, say, a Cadburys egg.

None just a bag of M&S hot cross bun fudge and half a bar of Dark Almond Tony chocolonely!

None! I did have a lovely bag of malteasers orange bunnies though. Extremely disappointed that there were only 5 in the packet. Eyeing up my kids celebration egg, but don't think I'll do it

I went out for lunch with my mum , sister ,my daughter and my friend and her baby as well as my niece and nephew!
i had honey garlic chicken and have now felt sick since , I think I ate too much 🤢
no Easter eggs for me today, had mine yesterday, no where was open for me to get an egg today or I would’ve had another Easter egg 😭
