Many mini eggs while sorting stuff for child and cousins for tomorrow's festivities, We've also eaten two buttons eggs this week. I had kept the big eggs in the boot of my car to stop us eating any but sent DH out to get one last night. Can't beat an easter egg!

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 30/03/2024 18:53

I'm just about to eat a (Lindt) rabbit's head.

(I shall, of course, spit the bell out.)

TheFormidableMrsC · 30/03/2024 18:56

I haven't got one, so none.

i haven’t had any, but my husbands laying on the floor with his jeans undone and rubbing his tummy, think he may have had a few too many!

GalileoHumpkins · 30/03/2024 19:01

None. I will enjoy a small kale salad tomorrow in celebration of the day.

DragonFly98 · 30/03/2024 19:02

None Easter Sunday is tomorrow.

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 30/03/2024 19:07

I've just had half an Easter egg woven out of salad leaves. I'm keeping the rest for Sunday as I don't want to be intemperate.

TakeOnFlea · 30/03/2024 19:12

The Easter bunny hasn't been yet!!!

HagBitch · 30/03/2024 19:17

Only mini-eggs / similar here before Easter Sunday, then proper Easter eggs from Easter Sunday onwards.

DS has a small number, and there's some chocolate for the adults as well. We don't go crazy though.

Lorrymum · 30/03/2024 19:20

None, but fighting the temptation to open one right now!! Its calling my name from the kitchen cupboard.

BingoMarieHeeler · 30/03/2024 19:22

None, although I did eat about 6 hollow crème-egg size ones throughout the week, from the supplies I bought for tomorrow’s hunt. Organiser’s perk! 😁

ouch321 · 30/03/2024 17:49

So you've been told off multiple times for eating them early and shamed by one poster who doesn't touch chocolate.

That'll teach you OP with your mild/innocent thread!!

I do wish we could have a 'How very Mumsnet!' button on responses just like the Thanks button.

Chocolate in shell shape seems to taste better than in bar form. I have heard they use a different recipe which may explain why. I'm tempted to pop over the road and grab one but Norrisons are charging £3.50 for a shell+1 bar which seems steep.

I was like “oh okay didn’t know you had to wait till Easter to eat the egg“ 😆😆

None

RaininSummer · 30/03/2024 19:25

None. Wouldn't have them before sunday in any case but don't generally bother with them at all.

fluffycloudalert · 30/03/2024 17:43

By the way, you do all realise that the clocks go forward tonight, so we have one hour less in which to eat chocolate tomorrow...

It's tomorrow night that the clocks go forward.

MissyB1 · 30/03/2024 19:28

When I was a child we didn’t get given our eggs until after Easter Sunday church. Actually the priest would give us a Cadbury crème egg on the way out of church, then there would be two Eggs waiting at home. I don’t go to church anymore but can’t bring myself to attack my Easter egg until tomorrow! I’ve got a buttons one.

NoBunnyHome · 30/03/2024 19:29

It's tomorrow night that the clocks go forward.

It's at 1am tomorrow morning. So overnight tonight, for all practical purposes.

Curlewwoohoo · 30/03/2024 19:30

None, I ate mine already 😭

Always 1am on a Sunday so definitely tonight or tomorrow morning depending how you want to look at it but definitely not tomorrow night.

I've eaten one. It was calling to me. I'm sure Jesus doesn't mind.

He won’ t ind today as he’s still dead but he’ll be crying tomorrow 😂

MaMisled · 30/03/2024 19:32

I've had a biggish Munchies one, swiftly followed by a few good swigs of Gaviscon!

It’s tomorrow (very early) morning.

PoorHammyHamster · 30/03/2024 19:34

None today but probably over 30 since they came into the shops. Especially when on offer.
