04.13 am. Birds chirping their hearts out. Just been loo again (me not the birds) oh and the guy in the room (different flat) turning over in his creaky bed.

decionsdecisions62 · 25/03/2024 04:45

It's 4.48 am and I can't hear the whirring blades of a police helicopter overhead.

AlwaysGinPlease · 25/03/2024 06:02

Birds and husband breathing. I woke up at 5:10am for a wee and can't get back to sleep. So annoying.

Al991 · 25/03/2024 06:04

Bloody white noise machine 😂

Forgottenmypasswordagain · 25/03/2024 06:06

Dh in kitchen putting something in the dishwasher.
A program I am watching on tv.
That is about it, but is 2 am here.

JamNittyGritty · 25/03/2024 06:06

My boiler starting up and dd16 downstairs making tea

Beezknees · 25/03/2024 06:13

Woke up about half an hour ago. Can't hear much. I live on a main road but not much traffic yet. I live in a flat but my building is pretty quiet. Will be getting up soon to get ready for work as I'm in the office today.

specialk9 · 25/03/2024 06:27

White noise machine

DatingDinosaur · 25/03/2024 06:36

Birds tweeting.
Central heating boiler.
Clock ticking.

Simonjt · 25/03/2024 06:40

My husband snoring, although for him quite quietly.

I can hear our daughter downstairs with her uncle, he’s singing dizzy to her, and I think spinning her about, thats what her little excited squeals normally mean.

lapochette · 25/03/2024 06:40

Dh emptying the dishwasher, the quiet hum of the central heating.

Marmite27 · 25/03/2024 06:41

Eldest DC eating Cheerios
DB buttering toast
PJ fucking Masks

whyyy321 · 25/03/2024 06:54

What a nice mindful thread!

Husband microwaving his porridge, dog's claws on the hard floor as he potters about the kitchen hopefully. Wood pigeons and seagulls intermittently and occasion car door slams as the early risers head off to work. Toddler is still asleep (for now!) so listening out for him stirring. Clock ticking. Husband will put the TV on shortly no doubt, but I've been enjoying sitting quietly with a cup for tea since I got up at 6.

Yirk · 25/03/2024 06:57

Bleeding massive pigeons eating all the bird feed again, cant shift the dam things!!

mondaytosunday · 25/03/2024 07:02

A plane in the distance. A bit of birdsong.

ViciousCurrentBun · 25/03/2024 07:16

Birdsong and DH breathing as he is fast asleep next to me.

Tarkan · 25/03/2024 07:39

But of tinnitus and the boiler since the heating is on. That's it but in 20 minutes my friend will be dropping off her toddler who I'm watching today. So I'm enjoying how quiet it is right now.

Nannyfannybanny · 25/03/2024 08:03

Lots of fellow tinnitus sufferers! I had it 4 years permanently in my left ear, some hearing loss. September, Covid, first time ever, right ear, much worse and the hearing loss, yet I hear "stuff" that's not there😲.

ObliviousCoalmine · 25/03/2024 08:24

iPad with channel 4 on it, dog padding around my room trying to find his first snooze spot of the day, a few birds, tinnitus.

Toomuch44 · 25/03/2024 08:25

Tinnitus in my right ear. If I put my mind to thinking further afield, hum of boiler and fish tank. Have to say the best thing I've heard so far is my two cats purring in my face before I got up!

Willmafrockfit · 25/03/2024 08:26

my washing machine is making a very strange noise,
which is a worry
i have radio 2 on in the background
and radio 4 on the laptop,

mitogoshi · 25/03/2024 08:26

The fridge

Temporaryanonymity · 25/03/2024 08:26

Bloody seagulls

CrunchyCarrot · 25/03/2024 08:35

My DP typing away furiously in his office.
Faint humming of some electronic equipment.
Low rumbling of my tinnitus.
A bird chirping.

DoraSpenlow · 25/03/2024 08:41

Work traffic going past, wind whistling and rain beating down on conservatory roof. Again. Will it ever stop?
