Birds tweeting

Wonderwall

MotherOfVizslas · 22/03/2024 19:59

My children playing harmoniously together (very rare occurrence indeed!) and my dog licking her bum

fightingthedogforadonut · 22/03/2024 20:00

Tinnitus
My son's tablet
Dog snoring

yellowrosee · 22/03/2024 20:10

Silence except a bird tweeting loudly outside.

Thanks for making me stop and notice this.

ColleenDonaghy · 22/03/2024 20:14

The news blaring from a phone two rows in front of me on the train. Angry

Unicorn34 · 22/03/2024 20:25

Rugby on the TV

PeopleAreWeird · 22/03/2024 20:26

Complete and utter silence

thecanadianloon · 22/03/2024 20:36

Ds playing the drums, and dd screeching on the violin.

PinotPony · 22/03/2024 20:46

The puppy breathing next to me on the sofa.
The teenagers' televisions upstairs.
The ice clinking in my glass.
My finger tapping on my phone.

It's pretty quiet here. Hadn't realised how much I like it.

marriednotdead · 22/03/2024 20:49

A train passing through at the end of the garden, the tick of the kitchen clock. Alvin and the bloody chipmunks next door in the lounge where DSD13 is having a nostalgia session 🙄

grannypants68 · 22/03/2024 21:00

hum of extractor fan in the bathroom and my baby boy having a dream feed

Whiskers4 · 22/03/2024 21:13

The sound of DH watching, Have I Got News for You.

One of my cats is on back of settee above my head, if I touch him, he'll purr. When I move him or his brother will meow for their supper and both will purr when served. I'm off to feed them.

WhoaJayShettybambalam · 22/03/2024 21:16

I’m listening to Harry Mancini and the dogs snoring (sadly not in tune).

DustyMaiden · 22/03/2024 21:16

Family and friends laughing hysterically. Sausage dog with a squeak toy.

canttellyouwhereorwhatido · 22/03/2024 21:21

Radio 4

Losingtheplot2016 · 22/03/2024 22:05

Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban

PrawnofthePatriarchy · 22/03/2024 22:11

Clock ticking in the dining room. Nothing else at this time of night. I'm in a big stone house in the country.

echt · 22/03/2024 22:12

Lots of birdsong. There was some brief rain after a protracted hot and dry spell, and rain always seems to set them off; mostly the beautiful carolling of the magpies (Australian).

mysparkleismissing · 22/03/2024 22:15

Tinnitus shrill and distant traffic

IloveAslan · 22/03/2024 22:19

The radio, and the sound of voices in the distance

IwishIdidntlikesugar · 22/03/2024 22:21

traffic (nice hum), tinnitus, someone’s tv faintly nearby. All good. Give it a couple of hours and my neighbour will come back and spoil it all though.

djivdfj · 22/03/2024 22:23

The odd car passing, the dog snoring slightly

Quizine · 22/03/2024 22:27

Earlier on Borrow Box (audio), a few chapters of Bruce Springsteen's autobiography "Born to Run" which is brilliant. Then the radio news. Now nothing, because I've taken my bluetooth hearing aids out lol! Thank God for them, life is not so silent anymore.

ShiftySquirrel · 22/03/2024 22:36

The silence is absolute.
We're in a quiet area anyway, no hum of traffic at night. We have triple glazing too.

If I opened the window I'd probably hear an owl and maybe a muntjac. It's a bit chilly for open windows tonight though.

dizzydizzydizzy · 22/03/2024 23:03

Sleep music and traffic.

I am wide awake.
