when I joined (nearly 22 years ago) I lived on the Central Asian Steppe.

I've never changed it.

CumbersomeRobes · 13/03/2024 14:20

Previously I was Jayneisagirl'sname - a Firefly reference

SheepAndSword · 13/03/2024 14:23

I misheard some song lyrics. I thought they were singing about sheep and swords but no, it's sheiks and swords

baileybrosbuildingandloan · 13/03/2024 14:24

Reference to It's a Wonderful Life.

FunnysInLaJardin · 13/03/2024 14:26

when now 18yo DS1 was little he used to laugh when I was telling him off. I used to say its not funny DS and he used to said 'where's funny gone, is it in the garden?'

then it turned a bit French for some reason

CremeEggThief · 13/03/2024 14:28

Ha! Ha! Mine is literal. The only thing I ever stole in my teenage years, but I stole a lot of them, back in the day when they weren't a year round chocolate.🤣

mrswhiplington · 13/03/2024 14:29

We had a lovely dog that was a cross between a Whippet and a Bedlington terrier.

TheBirdintheCave · 13/03/2024 14:30

My actual name is a synonym with the bird type whose Latin family name is troglodytidae which means 'cave dweller'.

Mouldyfoodhelp · 13/03/2024 15:03

I ate some mouldy food, I panicked and I sought help

whitenoisemachine · 13/03/2024 15:04

Recent nc here. I was posting whilst listening to a white noise machine at night.

Scaffoldingisugly · 13/03/2024 15:05

Several years ago landlord had scaffolding put up one January.. At 7 am without any notice.. Painters came in March to paint the house.
Scaffolding was still up in October and we decorated it for Halloween.
We did ask if it was worth investing in mammoth Christmas decorations but it came down early December...
A prime example of our twatty landlord....

ranoutofquinoaandprosecco · 13/03/2024 15:05

Mmm, mines because someone I used to work with once took the piss out of me when we had some flooding and asked how I'd manage to get my quinoa and Prosecco!

IncompleteSenten · 13/03/2024 15:06

LilacpointMummy · 13/03/2024 15:06

Character (dim PR person) from comedy series W1A and Twenty-twelve.
Mind you, that could apply to more than one of them.

Tittyfilarious · 13/03/2024 15:08

Mine is the word my mam has always used to describe a woman having big boobs 🤣

Wolfiefan · 13/03/2024 15:08

Oh lilac they’re stunning!
Mine is because I love Irish wolfhounds. (But I would love a Siamese too!!)

DuckOffAWatersBack · 13/03/2024 15:09

Common phrase that Mitch (off Love Island All Stars) mixed up.

cheeseandketchupsandwich · 13/03/2024 15:09

Used to eat them when I was much much younger

DuckOffAWatersBack · 13/03/2024 15:12

@Tittyfilarious 🤣 my mum calls them "Hoobastanks", though it is a more general word for boobs than specific to size! She was shocked when I told her (years ago) it was also the name of a band haha.

ErrolTheDragon · 13/03/2024 15:12

The intersection of the MN trends for Discworld and dragon names.

StepCombatAttack · 13/03/2024 15:12

Aydel · 13/03/2024 15:12

It was my great aunt’s name. I have her middle name as my middle name.

TitInATrance · 13/03/2024 15:13

Sometime DP said I was forever “wandering around like a tit in a trance” …now what did I come in here for?
