I’m SO over bras. Is no underwires with big boobs possible?

I’m done with wires. The downstairs of my house is littered with bras I’ve removed from inside my clothes and discarded the moment I’ve got in. I’ve tried some Asda non-wired bras and they’re comfortable but not massively supportive.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I’m 36g/gg.

Another one saying give Molkes a go

The way they are sized, your size varying shouldn't matter either

Cuppachuchu · 07/03/2024 20:58

I like the flexifit, but get a sweaty cleavage after a while. I'd try the doreen delicate, but without wires, think they will all give me a monoboob. 🤱 34E

Croppped tops all the way here and has been for about 15 years.

I’m a 34F and I can’t wear non wired bras they look awful, but I’ve found I can get away with firm control sports bras. I think it’s a case of trying what suits you best.

BuffaloCauliflower · 07/03/2024 21:30

@Crazycrazylady go check out Molke’s website and see the size of the boobs on the real women they have as models

DuskyEvenings · 07/03/2024 21:33

KK here. I wear the Freya non wired sports bra daily.

Pigeonqueen · 07/03/2024 21:33

I really wanted to like Molke bras as I like the designs etc and after a lot of ordering and sending some back I did find some that fit me well but I just found them so difficult to get on and off. I ended up having to step into them and pulling them up, which was a lot of faff for me. They don’t have the same amount of elastic in them as other crop top type bras (and I’ve tried both the original style and crop top styles). So ended up selling them all in the end as I found I just wasn’t reaching for them when I got dressed.

Scampuss · 07/03/2024 21:39

I tried Molke and it got stuck halfway on, realised I could barely breathe and was then a nightmare to get off.

Anita do some decent non-wired bras, I like the high cotton content ones, very functional but breathable and comfortable.

Andrasa · 07/03/2024 21:44

30h and I’m liking the sugar candy bra, it isn’t as attractive looking as a bra in a tight top but it gives enough support to be comfortable in the gouse

Femme2804 · 07/03/2024 21:47

Following. This is exactly my problem.

SwordToFlamethrower · 07/03/2024 21:49

32G here and dont wear wires. M&S does them

MurielThrockmorton · 07/03/2024 21:50

Reminds me of this!

I'm the same size and took non wired on holiday as I couldn't stand the thought of wired in the heat. I then saw photos of myself and realised that despite my boobs feeling supported, they looked anything but. I then saved some money and went to Rigby & Pellar. Bought two bras that are equally as comfortable as the non wired ones but with support. I've never felt comfortable in Bravissimo bras and would always take them off the minute I got home.

onetwonetoo · 07/03/2024 21:55

Following with great interest!

I'm a 30F and cannot find a non wired bra that looks any good.

They either fit in the body and not the cup or vice versa. Nippy Mono boob is also a bug issue for me 😩

unsync · 07/03/2024 21:58

I have Elomi. They are underwired and comfy. Does your underwire sit on your chest wall? I can't really feel mine when it's on, even when I'm in their sports bras which are obviously more compressive, but still comfortable.

Molke. Brilliant, comfy, lots of support for big boobs. Only bras I’ve worn for about 4 years now. Can take a bit of trial and error to get the right size (like any bra I guess) and not great with strappy tops but I don’t wear those anyway!

I quite like the Molke ones. You do have to completely ignore their sizing information though and buy a far larger cup size than they recommend. Otherwise it’ll be teeny tiny and you’ll be wondering if they think your boobs are on your collar bones.

The crossover design avoids the monoboob shelf and makes everything less sweaty.

They aren’t the most beautiful looking things and you do need to watch what top you wear.

I’m a 30G and I find it almost impossible to find non-underwire bras that fit both body and cup.

Molke do. But they also feel like the big pants of the bra world in terms of stylishness.

onetwonetoo · 07/03/2024 22:08

Thanks @ClutchingOurBananas I'll have a look.

I saw a brand called Mary something or other that looks good and had excellent reviews but again they are the big pants of the bra world.

I'm also finding that the straps in my current wired bras are now causing shoulder dents!

Miss Mary! I can't understand their sizing and the one I bought made me look like I was smuggling a greyhound under my top. I binned it.

🤣 @HellersK

Sugarcandy bras, I find mine actually looks better than some of my bras under tops. I'm a 30 GG. Cannot recommend them enough.

They stock them in some places too, definitely in bravissimo, maybe in m&s? Although I might be making that up in my head! Good luck.

M&S do a post surgery sports bra that zips up the front, it’s really good. I’m the same size as you but just one boob. Obviously, you can also wear it if you have two 😁
Really comfortable.

SaulHudsonDavidJones · 07/03/2024 22:20

BigPandaTinyDragon · 07/03/2024 20:48

I second M&S Flexifit and I can’t bear the feel of a wired bra these days.

Agree with this. I'm the same size as you and nearly cried with happiness when I felt how soft these are.

Mossstitch · 07/03/2024 22:22

Sainsburys do a really comfortable cotton one which is only for the larger sizes, wish I could do the links but technologically challenged🥺 its double thickness cotton but looks more like a supportive crop top. They do in grey, black or white for about £10/11. (it still comes off the minute I'm in the house)

PeonyFlush72 · 07/03/2024 22:27

I've been wearing Miss Mary for years as they have great support without wire.

I've also found some great bras from Ambrose Wilson which are extremely comfy but not as supportive.
