I’m SO over bras. Is no underwires with big boobs possible?

I’m done with wires. The downstairs of my house is littered with bras I’ve removed from inside my clothes and discarded the moment I’ve got in. I’ve tried some Asda non-wired bras and they’re comfortable but not massively supportive.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'm 36GG too and felt exactly the same as you. I was in constant discomfort from wires jabbing into me. I've discovered Flexifit bras from M and S and have them in all colours. So comfortable.

There wrap over ones that clip either side that are good I’ll see if I can find them.

l know it’s a bit of a cliche, but ate you sure you are in the right size/style. I’m a 36F and find underwired bras comfortable.

The only exception is in the really hot weather, then l go into “bounce mode” (apart from at work) and don’t care what anyone else thinks.

OP, remember you are not required to wear a bra, if you prefer to be without.

@BoobyDazzler did you try the Asda cross front non padded ones? I’m a 34G and have found them to be really comfortable and supportive.

Try Royce -they specialise in bras without wires. Not wire-style fashionable, but can be very comfortable, especially as some styles are in cotton. No brand fits everybody, of course, but perhaps worth investigating: https://www.royce-lingerie.co.uk/comfort-bras

Yeah definitely the right size. I can change between a 34F/36GG depending on how fat I am.. I’m a bit of a yoyo-er., weight wise.

I do go braless a lot of the time, rarely wear them and home and will walk the dog without which feels so liberating! Probably wouldn’t be appropriate in a corporate environment though, unfortunately.

Go to Bravissimo, get them to make sure you are wearing the right size first. Then if you still don't like them they also do non wired bras to.

I have tried some, I'm a 36H. They don't give anywhere near the support of a wired bra and the only non wired ones I wear are sports bras and they at lest give better support.

But do go even if it means a trip as they really are worth it. Be prepared to take out a mortgage for them though.

Avoid M&S own brands they are not very supportive for larger breast sizes.

Molke. Brilliant, comfy, lots of support for big boobs. Only bras I’ve worn for about 4 years now. Can take a bit of trial and error to get the right size (like any bra I guess) and not great with strappy tops but I don’t wear those anyway!

And I never wear wired bras. I wear the crop top support bras . I get mine in penny's. They have no wires.

38 G and I’ve never found a non wired bra that doesn’t give me a uni boob after an hour.

I am a 38H and wear the M&S bralettes most of the time. I do have a few wired bras for special occasions/smarter functions.

Shapermint (watch the us dollar thing I'd you use credit card) have been a game changer for me. Comfy and well shaped but no wire. Also if you fluctuate in weight they are really adjustable on the back

I'm a similar size to you & have been wearing the M&S lace bralettes since I stopped breastfeeding 4 years ago. They're very comfortable, good support & shape.

I am either a 34H or 36G depending on brand etc and I just can’t stand bras now. During Covid etc I just stopped bothering and went to those stretchy crop tops you find in primark and haven’t looked back. I fully accept they’re not really doing a lot for me support wise but I am beyond caring now. I am lucky however that it doesn’t really matter what I look like.

I second M&S Flexifit and I can’t bear the feel of a wired bra these days.

I'm in awe of those of you who wear bralette or non wired bras or penny's bras. I'd take someone's eye out if I tried it!!

I am blessed with only medium sized boobs but giving up underwires has been totally liberating for me.

I wear Uniqlo bra vests but I guess they wouldn’t be quite right for the large of boob.

They are just so comfy though and if it gives me a uniboob, I don’t care!

The only time I wear under wired bras now is when I need a strapless bra or some decent cleavage with an evening dress and I feel absolute joy when I remove it at the end of the night!

If I go soft cup my boobs get really sweaty between them and underneath and I get a sore rash underneath. It’s horrible,I’m 32GG-H. Mono boob action and zero uplift as well. I would love a decent soft option- Royce give that pointy rocket boob shape & Bravissimo own brand still end up with sweaty rash. Think my boobs are just too heavy for soft

Following with interest as I couldn't get on with M&S flexifit at all!

Fellow 36G here. Occasionally I dream of chopping them off and being flat chested.... However in real life I like the lift and separation that wired bras give. Non-wired smushes my boobs together and they get clammy and uncomfortable generally, but I am open to someone telling me you can get the same lift and separation from a non-wired.
