God she's awful. Haven't watched for a long time but just turned it on and caught her interviewing the lovely Adele Roberts. Thought it was a good interview until the very end when she's given a birthday cake and Lorraine says 'and you can eat all of that cake, you're so tiny, you need to eat'

Fuck me! Adeles in recovery from bowel cancer, has a stoma. As an IBD patient it boils my blood when people think its OK to comment on my weight. Imagine Lorraine saying to someone 'you can't eat that cake, you're so big, you need to stop eating'.

It's reminded me why I don't watch her.

She has always been a bitch, especially when it comes to peoples weight if they are slim. She used to make bitchy comments like that to the models who came on modelling the clothes for the fashion segments.
She was also inappropriate in her happy enthusiasm when they cut to her from good morning Britain on the day Kate Garraway did her short at home interview after her husband died.
Shes one of those pretending to be nice people, but the bitchy side of her always shines through.

I cant stand to watch her show, its pure drivel, she never lets her guests speak as she loves the sound of her own voice, you can tell who her friends are by the way she fawns over them.

She must have some serious dirt on someone high up at ITV for this yawn fest to still be on TV. Nobody i know likes it or watches it, how is it still on?

She argued that she should be able to deduct her agent fee from her income like any actor can. And won.
Seems reasonable for the 2 to be consistently treated.

I was enjoying the interview until she said that I mean wtaf ! Adele Roberts has always been slim but she had cancer that required her to have a colostomy but aye Lorraine tell her to eat the cake build her up. arsehole.

I remember, Years ago now, she kept going on and on and on about her daughter when she was born ... like Lorraine was the only one who ever gave birth. That is probably the last time I watched it.
Also, was watching a Documentary about Lockerbie just before Christmas and she presented it as had been a "young reporter" at that time and used old clips of her in it too
She somehow made it all about Lorraine.

You’ve just described many TV presenters & similar, right there. Unfortunately, especially, as a woman, quiet ruthlessness seems to be the only way to get to the top.

I'm not a fan of hers, and I think that comment was disgusting.

It angers me so much when others comment on weight. I'm sick of the view that it is okay to comment if somebody is slim.
I am a healthy weight size uk 8-10. My DM constantly comments "you're looking thin" and "are you eating enough?." If I so much as catch a cold, I get "have you been eating and looking after yourself" as though I am myself, to blame. It drives me nuts! My sister is very overweight, and all I hear is: "Doesn't she look great?," when in actuality, she is at risk of a host of health problems, and is getting breathless when walking short distances. I walk thousands of steps a day, fit and healthy, yet I am somehow seriously underweight. I think a lot of ppl have lost track of what a healthy weight actually looks like.

I also saw a clip of LK, and her dd. Unfortunately she is a mini me of her, and seemed very entitled, and arrogant etc as well.

How do these people get on, and stay on TV?!

Can't stand the woman and I hate the way she babbles over anything anyone else is trying to say. She never makes any sense or says anything useful or interesting.

She must have negotiated a long term water tight contract years ago but I wish the tv company would move on from her and give other presenters a chance.

I don't usually mind her the Lk programme is just fluffy nonsense but that was damn rude who says that. she always advocates loving your body blah de blah unless she is insulting slim people. I mean she wouldn't say oiy chubby no cake for you to a guest would she ?

Agree. She always says something so dumb or inappropriate. Her stupid giggle absolutely grates on me too, she's like an embarrassed teenager.

Yes absolutely this. Many of the inappropriate things that she says happen at the end of an interview when the guest has no chance to reply. And likely wouldn't do so anyway as it's on live daytime tv.

I had a friend who would always comment on he being "skinny". I wasn't. She was just jealous as she was struggling with her weight. In my opinion being called skinny or being told to eat more is an insult

The interview with Ray Winstone wasn't much better. He has a lot of character and was giving a good conversation to which she just replied "absolutely" to everything. It seemed as though she didn't really know what to say to him

To be fair her daughter is about 30 and has been on TV. It is okay to have an opinion on lorraine and another poster mentioning how she was during pregnancy etc, yet nobody else can be mentioned. I think that is double standards tbh. And "go away" because you don't agree with another pp is childish.

She was a "face" for a company I worked for in the past and no one who met her on the shoot days had any nice things to say about her. Apparently she wasted people's time, only spoke to the CEO and the people she literally had to for the job and they had to use a body double for a lot of the shots as she did each pose once and refused to reshoot any.

The same colleagues absolutely loved our other "faces" even ones who get slated for seeming up themselves on TV.

ive only seen lorraines daughter with Lorraine. Never anything by herself. If she’s carved out her own career then fair enough. It doesn’t seem like she has?
