Putting washing on the line in the sun

I apologise if this is a niche pleasure - but does anyone else get a huge pleasure from seeing big sheets on the washing line in the sun?

Maybe it's a childhood thing.

Nothing better than clothes drying on a good day

Not here yet unfortunately, sunny but lots of rain showers, I’d be in and out like a yo yo. DH also hates anyone on his grass, it’s his pet project and he loves a green lawn. But the way he whisks around the house, turning clothes on the radiators and emptying the dehumidifier while muttering about the amount of moisture that must be in the house, I think he’ll be more than happy to put the clothes outside when the sun comes!
Just don’t let the clothes get darked on - spider willies and all that…

@CoralDreamer, we had two loads out overnight getting darked on! 🤣 DH got the mostly dry bits in this morning and then put towels out. It's sunny and windy today. Perfect!

Keeping my fingers crossed for dry bedding and towels but the line is in the shade so, despite the sunshine streaming in through the front windows, my washing is hanging limply and not benefitting from the warmth of the sun.

I’ve had a couple of loads out for the last 2 days, it’s not completely dry on so coming back on the airer or sitting on the hot water tank for a bit after, so happy though as the house no longer smells like wet washing 😎

I'm already in bed, enjoying the smell of freshly line dried bedding. One of the cheapest luxuries in life!

We’re on our way home from skiing and I have lots to wash!

Tomorrow’s forecast is looking very promising to get through a few loads 😀

Got my washing on the line today. Absolutely glorious

2 loads of wool base layers and fleeces done.

The thicker stuff is now hanging in the utility room to finish off, it wasn’t warm enough to dry those fully but still nice to get some out on the line.

Today, on the coast, we have thick fog despite the weather forecast saying today would be sunny. My washing is hanging limply on the line doing nothing. It will be staying outside until tomorrow in the hope that it will be sunny then.

ive been putting stuff out last few weeks and it's been getting about 90% dry.

Today is the first time I've put stuff out and hoping it to be 100% dry by late afternoon, exept for perrhaps the jeans. Exciting times!

Forty one degrees today so did not hang washing in the sun but on the verandah. Four loads done by lunch time. Pillows in the sun, though, for about hours. Sleepy time is going to smell wonderful tonight.

I washed my Oodie yesterday and left it out overnight (spiders' willies notwithstanding). It's set to be gloriously sunny and warm today before the weather changes overnight, and next week is supposed to be colder, so I'm really hoping that the Oodie dries in time!

Hello Fellow Peggers!

Just got my first load of washing out of 2025! Yahoooo!🌞🌞🌞

Finally got blue skies (for more than 30 seconds..) and a lovely breeze so we’re up and running. Just ordered some more Lakeland pegs, the best pegs… and hoping to have towels and bedding all dry later on.
Really late to the show this year, usually nice enough to start putting washing out from mid-Feb, but weather has been grim this year, so wet, but today is beautiful!

Lots of washing on the line this week, even the bits on everyone’s chair-drobe!

I've washed everything in sight over the last couple of days! Bedding, towels, the blanket on the sofa, the dogs blanket, my sons oodie, more bedding.

I absolutely LOVE IT. Sleeping in my line dried bedding genuinely brings me joy and happiness.
