Putting washing on the line in the sun

I apologise if this is a niche pleasure - but does anyone else get a huge pleasure from seeing big sheets on the washing line in the sun?

Maybe it's a childhood thing.

Got my first wash of the year out on the line. Not sure it’s going to do much as it’s hanging pretty limply but I just got over-excited at the sight of some sunshine 😃

We have two loads out and another being lined up to go in! Not a huge breeze here, but it's flapping a bit!

Yes. Looking dry here too so got a few bits ready to go out and just stuck some bedding in the wash

I have all the tea towels from the scout hut out on the line, they're rippling beautifully in the breeze.

Grey and still here so no good for drying. I've got 5 loads to do today so was hoping for the holy trinity 🙏

No. I hate to see washing on the line. Its so messy and untidy

@Willoo this probably isn't the thread for you then. We're all about the joy of Al fresco laundry drying.

It’s been too grim here to get any washing properly dried but I did put my airer out for about 5 hours in a sunny patch and then got it in when it started getting colder. Bring on proper line drying!

Line is officially back in service. Just got a few quick drying things on there at the moment.

I partly dried some sports kit outside yesterday.

I managed to partly dry some jumpers last week.. it was good to see that there was some result from putting it out on the line! Lol.

It was a cracking drying day here yesterday-I had it all out by 7:30 (it was still frosty😂) and all properly dry by 4-even heavy sweatshirts and jeans…jeez this makes me happier than it should but my family finally accept it 🤣

Got mine out today. We finally have a breeze and blue skies. I can't wait to sniff it all when I bring it in.

Windy and dry today so have bedding out. Hope it stays like this all weekend

Towels and bedding dry outside today in the midlands. So cold but breezy and always worth a try

I did all the towels yesterday and it was really breezy so they were flapping about nicely and I was so pleased about it....then I went out and it rained so ended up tumble drying them 😞

Chucking it down here today so glad I grabbed the opportunity to line dry yesterday!

Cracking drying weather here, two loads out, one of which towels. I could just sit and watch them flapping in the breeze and sunshine.

We don't have much sunshine, but it's dry and breezy, so we've a production line of washing going on and then out, then in for the next lot to take its place on the line!

We have sun and wind. And two loads of washing on the line with another in the machine!

FINALLY, a good drying day here, so obviously if it isn’t nailed down it’s getting washed today! 2 loads done and out and a 3rd in the machine🤣

I have a load of washing out now, and the sun is just starting to shine. All is good in the world.
