I feel sorry for Geri, who married, like anyone else, to have a happy and loving life. Maybe they'll work things out.

I'm a decades-long F1 fan. Love the sport the speed, the technology, the science - even the dishy drivers. 😁 Behind this routine boss/employee 'scandal', there is definitely a power play going on. F1 is not called 'the piranha club' for nothing. It's ruthless. You only have to see how Ferrari are dumping their race-winning driver (the only non Redbull driver to get a win last year) to sign up an aging world champion. Intrigue up and down the pit lane. Always has been, right back to the days of Fangio and Farina. It's a pity it has taken this tittle tattle and Geri's name to get any interest from Mumsnet.

Can you truly have a happy and loving marriage when the man you married left a long term partner for you or is that just wishful thinking? It will have started off badly (with his parents refusing to go to the wedding) so not a great basis for a happy relationship.

Hard to have a happy and loving marriage amidst the wreckage of someone else’s life that you have helped to destroy.

Maybe she’ll wake up from her dream about being a rich Cotswolds housewife and see him for who he really is.

What do fans of the sport actually think of CH & what he's done / what's going on at Redbull @MercedesLeftWheelNut & @flyingbuttress43 ?

I have always thought CH was a dickhead and don't have a huge amount of time for RB either.

Contrary to my username (which is related to a gift from an old neighbour) I'm not a Mercedes fan, as such. I like to see a variety of teams challenging for a win and personally have a soft spot for Williams.

Red Bull have a lot of dark players around them. Max's dad is a violent thug who beat up his ex wife and tried to kill someone once. Max dates Nelson Piquet's daughter. NP said some very racist things about Lewis on the radio. NP Jnr (his son) deliberately crashed his car in a past race to change the race result for his team. One of the RB team directors (Helmut Marko) also had some questionably racist comments about their other driver. The whole team just seem a bit morally rotten to be honest.

The phone was a work phone so belonged to RB, and they can access any messages on the phone. Even if she did delete the messages, WA messages can usually be recovered. It might not have been the PA who did the leaking, it could well have been someone wanting to cause trouble for Fingerdick.

Theres 2 camps: red bull fan boys who thinks anything related to that team can do no wrong, then the majority who are either indifferent but broadly think MV’s first championship victory was a result of cheating, and therefore are quite wary of RB and by extension, Horner.

Their ‘winning’ era started under a cloud and this is kind of just adding to the general feel of RB generally being a little bit grubby/ tainted.

I personally think Horner is an arrogant crook, none of the latest stuff surprises me and I wouldn’t have pissed on him if he was on fire (but maybe if he wasn’t) even before all this.

I just can’t see Red Bull sacking him or Geri leaving him. She gives him limelight and money so a lifestyle she won’t want to walk away from.

F1 is, always been, a rich playground for white, narcissistic and misogynistic males. Their PR are trying to change their "image" by making it more inclusive, but if you look at the teams, it's rare to see a female engineer in their ranks. It's all bollocks.

He's not the first man to have an affair and if they choose to continue their marriage it's up to them. It happens and some people choose to break up and move on, others try and rebuild. The difference is that it's not always played out in public like this.

Apparently Geri will be there today. I think it's up to them now to decide between them what to do and they have a small child. It doesn't make her a lesser person if she chooses to stay with him. It's her life, not ours.

She has enough money of her own. I get it but it gets trickier when children are involved. Having said that if she dumps him for this, it would give her a lot more credibility and help women in similar situations. Although most do not have the cash flow, which makes it all easier.

and irs very clear chunks of those messages are missing and a consensual relationship was there at some point, absolutely he should have backed off when she ended it, my personal opinion is he should be fired, if not both of them. id not be surprised if he leaves red bull at the end of the season, and I don’t think the woman’s position is tenable if she had a relationship with him, and this is what it looks like. She had a relationship with him and when she realised he wasn’t for leaving Geri, she went after him.A woman scorned who first complained to hr, then leaked parts of messages to the public to mitigate her part and attack him,when he wasn’t found guilty and lost his job.

Sure, that’s what has been leaked, absolutely. But it is very clear large chunks are missing, and that she’s been sending him photos etc.so it’s been manipulated so the public can only see the parts she wished revealed
