There was clearly an affair at some point and the PA is very needy and at times pushing for him to commit to more with her. The whole “why don’t you VC your wife” smacks of fishing for the “but it’s you I want” response.

Nobody knows when Geri took off. But, as I reckoned, she'll be taking the "Staying dignified through the pain for the sake of my child/self-image" route.

For me the startling issue is not he cheated on geri. I mean she knew what she was buying there. Let’s face it.

It’s that he has been cleared by red bull. And they then tried ro say last night it was a private matter.

I guess they maybe saying it’s the aftermath of a consensual relationship so neither should get fired. There is a case to answer in he doesn’t stop when asked, but maybe more going on behind the scenes.

I think there is a lot more to this than we see, even though we see a lot.

What I would love to know is
(a) did the investigation see the messages? (any KC worth their salt is not going to be prepared to rule on anything without seeing the evidence and surely the complainant would have wanted to put them forward)

(b) if yes, is it really likely that Geri would have accepted the findings without asking to read the report herself?

(c) therefore is the only issue here really that she is now publicly embarrassed because the world knows her husband is not in fact a magnetic bigwig who had an affair but a man who wanks in plane toilets, thinks “Spanx” is a risqué brand name and can’t spell?

Oh yes, and that Geri herself was complicit in allowing RB to hush up his exploitative behaviour towards the PA.

Generally yes. I would agree. But when you pursue a man who is in a relationship and conduct an affair with him that results in him leaving his long term PREGNANT partner, there isn't a whole lot of fucks anyone is going to be giving for Geri

I get that she isn't the most sympathetic of public figures @drumbeats but it depresses me that threads about this man's misdeeds turn into slagging her off for, among other things, wearing white, and living on a big estate. It's misogyny.

For all we know this stuff is fake and Geri knows that - having read it though I think it rings true but what do I know!

I think she'd be getting more sympathy if it wasn't for how she behaved when he was with someone else. The lady of the manor/dressing in white ridiculousness is just an aside but it does make me laugh - she's come a long way from Union Jack tea towels and groping the King, in her own mind anyway.

Maybe Geri's panicking and doing the pick me dance in the face of crushing humiliation but I don't reckon the marriage will continue ultimately. Vicky B and David B have a big global brand and there were no text message leaks either. There's something so tawdry about them being made public that there's no coming back from.
