You're the best thing by Paul Weller

'You Do Something to Me' is an excellent song.

The Rose by Bette Midler.

Magic Moments, Perry Como, an immortalBacharach/David composition,
old fashioned, corny, happy, innocent, still hear it on the radio occasionally,
never fails to make me smile
and
If I Loved you from Carousel, don’t know the singer.

Anything by the glorious Andy Williams,
That’s Amore, Dean Martin,
if it’s ballads you are looking for, Olden but Golden.

The Last Farewell Includes the fantastic line “ for you are beautiful, and I have loved you dearly, more dearly than the spoken word can tell”

I’m off to cry now

That was my Mum's favourite song. She used to play the 7" single on repeat until the sun warped it because our record player was next to the French windows.

Oh I love Carly Simon and Linda Ronstadt too @mathanxiety

Have you heard Linda Ronstadt, Emmy Lou Harris and Dolly Parton singing To Know Him Is To Love Him ?
Such a combination of beautiful voices.

Also Dolly Parton's I Will Always Love You is a beautiful rendition.

Carly Simon's Jesse is a great love song too.

I love The Air that I Breathe by The Hollies. Him talking about his blissed out post-shag mood, where life is perfect in that moment, gives me the feels.
