Has anything you usually buy recently just disappeared from shops?

I cannot find 'cook at home' poppadums anywhere. Used to be in most supermarkets. I used to buy them all the time. I go to my local Indian shop for them sometimes but they've usually only got flavours I don't favour. The ready made ones aren't as nice and are usually in a load of plastic non-recylcable packaging which doesn't please me either.

I don't mean products that have been discontinued a long time ago, more so things that still exist but you just can't buy anywhere from recently!

Own brand coffee creamer is another one. Don't use it myself but I've heard people at work saying this often.

Shack n’ vac in lemon scent - I have found one that’s close to it, but three times the price!

Bird and blend do a nice one but it's more expensive and this company too

trueteacompany.co.uk/tea/authentic-peppermint-leaves-tea-bags/

These are £20 but 100 bags

(Yes I'm bored tonight!)

Thank you. I did search on Amazon a while back and then didn't actually order anything.
The Tesco and Aldi versions were so well priced around £1.90 to £2.30 for 15.

Oh well. Think the £20 for 100 is my best bet. And pray they taste good.

I'm after some decent Earl Grey too if you're still bored 🤣🤣🤣

We've all loved the M&S choccochino muffins for years but all of a sudden they've disappeared. I'm assuming they've been discontinued.

Tostitos with a hint of lime.

Classic Coke with hint of lime.

Old el paso rice meal kit. Only just discovered it and it was gone!

Metallicant · 15/02/2024 22:08

Ocado and Waitrose sell tinned anchovies

SallyWD · 15/02/2024 22:09

Lots of things recently.

English Cox’s apples.

They are the best apples by far. I used to eat them all the time but I found about four packs of them this season. They were constantly out of stock, even in M&S & Waitrose. The discount supermarkets don’t stock them at all, but they all sell tasteless foreign rubbish like Jazz & Pink Lady 🤮. Bring back proper apples!

Last year was one of the worst in living memory for the English apple harvest. Many areas were hit by late frosts just at the wrong time. Hopefully this year will be better.

Crunchy cashew nut butter. Smooth is also difficult to find but crunchy is nowhere.

Very much a first world problem, I appreciate.

I saw the rice meal kits in Aldi last week.

My prescription anti inflammatory according to the pharmacy.

Foxylass · 15/02/2024 22:19

Tinned sardines in olive oil - but WITH skin and bones.
I can only find skinless and boneless.

I even searched online, finally bought a box of 12 tins, only to discover that they are skinless and boneless.
I even asked the question and was assured they were what I was looking for.

ChocolateCinderToffee · 15/02/2024 22:20

Mince. Waitrose used to sell 3 for £10 (I think) 5% fat mince. It's gone. Now the only 5% fat mince they sell is rare breed at £6.25 a pack. I hate fatty mince, and the stuff they sell in Sainsbury's is squashed to a mush in the pack, I've got no choice.

Hall84 · 15/02/2024 22:20

There's a supply issue with hydrocortisone cream - we use for dd's eczema. I couldn't buy any near home but there was some near my parents.
Cannelloni tubes I struggled with last year so made a bulk order and working my way through them. Hopefully will be back in stock when these run out!
The place I have been able to get fry at home poppadoms is the local Chinese supermarket.

Rennies tablets in orange flavour. Most places only have the horrid peppermint now

Morrisons sell the orange flavoured ones.

Chicken tonight Spanish Chicken Sauce and Campbells condensed tomato soup.

I've been looking for the Spanish sauce everywhere as its great to sling in the slow cooker with chicken thighs. I tried to make my own but it's not as nice.

Ovaltiner · 15/02/2024 22:23

@PawPaw24 Thank you so much! Off to order now.

Low fat condensed milk. I used to use it all the time in baking, including my favourite homemade cereal bars.. then suddenly it just vanished.

Tremblingmadness · 15/02/2024 22:24

Brown and Poulson Cornflour.

I can’t eat gluten so it is the only thing I can use to make a sauce.

Have tried all the supermarket own brands but they all go lumpy.

I hate lumpy sauce, so no more Lasagne for me.

aitchteeaitch · 15/02/2024 22:25

Danish salami.

It's like it never existed.

ChocolateCinderToffee · 15/02/2024 22:25

Boxes of 12 eggs.

That's because of the time of year. Hens are just starting to lay again now.

Another one not been able to find cambells condensed chicken soup. Have a great recipe using it with leftover chicken that's been a family staple for years. Will have to check home bargains

i must have been to about six shops today trying to find tinned raspberries to make a trifle. nowhere seems to sell them anymore.

My mum says there have been no tinned raspberries anywhere for years now, to the misery of all trifle lovers.
