Please pray for son with meningitis

Went in with an ear infection that had burst. 24 hours in A&E Wednesday and Thursday this morning said it's now meningitis. I'm so scared.

I read this and cried. Very late to the thread but saw it and couldn't bypass.

So pleased he's on the mend. I had meningitis myself at 40 so I understand how awful it is.

Such good news he's out of the woods. Will take some time to get back to normal hijinx but he'll get there 💐

@justasking111 that's fantastic news. You must all be so relieved.
Please don't underestimate the impact this whole ordeal will have had on all of you, not just your son. I'm not sure if you saw my previous post but please don't hesitate to get in touch with the charity Meningitis Now. We're 11 years down the line from my son having Meningitis and I still find the charity helpful.

Praying for a speedy recovery x

I will mention the charity to daughter in law when things settle down. The drugs they've had two bring home she's done a spreadsheet of times, dosage.

Two different antibiotics
Ear drops
Nasal spray
Headache pills.

He has to go back in two weeks to see the consultant who's still waiting on results for some of the testing they did on his bloods, spinal fluid, ear fluid.

His appetite is poor because of the drugs, bad nausea.

So glad to hear he’s going home, and hopefully he’ll continue on the road to recovery. What a horrible experience for you all. Best wishes.

The best news! God is good.

That must have been one of the longest weeks of your life, if not the longest.

' he is home ' that is what everyone here wanted to read.

How is he doing @justasking111 ?

He's sleeping most of the time. The family are steering clear. He's not up to visitors yet. One tablet causing awful dizziness. He's back at the hospital to see the consultant next month when they'll have all the test results back.

But he's on the mend she thinks.

Sleep is good for him

And it's good that people are keeping away from him, the last thing he needs is to pick up a cold or something
