Camilla if Charlie pegs it?

But it did set me thinking about the OW, Camilla. Am sure Charlie will provide for her from his personal wealth in his will, but what on earth would we be expected to call her after Charlie’s death?

I mean we cannot call her the Queen mother like Queens Liz mother, she has no biological relationship with the royals at all.

In my experience adult step children grin and bear their parents new spouse but rarely stay in touch after the parents death. You only have to look on the posts here to know that.

It would, I suppose, be up to King Willy, could be a source of amusement for none royalist folk like me,

Listening to endless royal experts waffle on about it all when it happens.

Awful title, regardless of what you think about the royal family, and yes they probably won’t read this but other people with cancer and their families will.

His death is not just possible, it is inevitable at some point just like it is for the peasants. Whether he goes first or Camilla does is the unknown factor.

I've always fancied being a dowager. I suspect dowagers take no Sh*t

I do hope William is nice to Camilla if/when she is a widow.

I'm not a royalist but Charles and his family are human beings and deserve the respect one would accord to other human beings

I agree with the others that have said this is a really unpleasant thread and title. There will be plenty of people whose partners have cancer who may be facing the possibility that their DP will die who won't read the thread but will see the title. I think this should be taken down

Aye leaders born into royalty by chance and forced upon a nation is much better than someone being there by a democratic vote.

She'd choose something appropriate, probably still "Queen Camilla", because Kate would become "The Queen/Queen Catherine" so no confusion

Camilla cannot choose it will be up to the new king, which is what i am musing about, to some extent. Will William respect his mother and not donate a title?

I think he will not give her a fancy name on the basis of downsizing royal privelege.

It will be Dowager - that is what a widow is called in the RF. I don't know what William will do with her. He won't want her around

A quick google will show that for a short period there were 3 queens all alive at the same time: Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother and Queen Elizabeth.

All we’re called Queen so I can’t see how it would be any different for Camilla
