Looking forward to nights recorded efforts - WTF, its not on tonight
and as the previous few weeks, we did not get an episode on Tuesday

ITV has so many channels that it could have easily put the crap on in place ofCS on another channel

Why have we been shortage again, disgusting!

Why no episode on Tuesday? I'm not a soap fan so not up to date.

Bluevelvetsofa · 02/02/2024 13:08

It’s because football and rugby are deemed more important than anything else and the schedules can be changed at will, to accommodate them.

There are times when there’s sport on the terrestrial and Sky channels and very little else.

Prefer Quality street.

I was hoping you’d say that the once majestic but now very boring show had been axed.

I think CS gets the largest viewing figures for itv, about 5/6 million as opposed to 12/14 million years ago when there were only 3/4 tv channels

ITV are soft in the head and losing watchers who may not return or assumed that CS fans will just put up with it and has little care about their feelings.

Disgusting whichever one looks at it

I am going to make a massive protest on my blog and ITV will take note

FFS - I thought something had actually happened, not that you're missing an episode.

I'm not a "think of all the other shit going on in the world" type of poster, but seriously, think of all the other shit going on in the world!!

Hello,

FFS it is seriously important to me and possibly millions of CS fans

For goodness sake... I thought something serious had happened like a cast member had died... 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔 🤔

fluffiphlox · 02/02/2024 13:59

I stopped watching when it went from twice a week to nightly.

Much better than that is 3 times a week as you can teeth into hour-long episodes.

I robustly disagree with your opinion.

I don't blame you I blame the halfwits that control the programme sechingling.

Thoughts and prayers with you OP at this horrendously difficult time. Perhaps MN can offer signposting some sort of support organisation...like reading a book or watching a film for one night.

Soaps like this and Emmerdale should be on ITV2 along with the reality stuff. Then it wouldn't get interrupted for sport.

I thought it was going to stop altogether! So many stories we still need closure from!!

I also blame the halfwits for the scheduling.
Soap operas are on tv far to much and should be scaled down for more variation in content.

Could you provide a link to your blog please? I am keen to read the musings of a distinguished social commenator

Laiste · 02/02/2024 16:11

I thought this was going to be about it being axed.

And i was thinking 'oh was it still going!?'

And now i'm remembering staying with my nan in Fulham in the late 1970s, and her watching it on her funny little black and white telly with a doily on top, in the 'back room' because no one was allowed in the 'front room', and me having to keep getting up and tweaking/holding the wire ariel for her, and the smell of lamb chops and peas ...

ah ... anyway, as you were 😊

Hobnobswantshernameback · 02/02/2024 16:12

Oh my god hun
u tell em
im sure they'll listen to your ramblings ahead of millions of sports fans and tens of millions of pounds in advertising revenue
Am sure they'll reinstate your scintillating soap in no time babez

Sorry, what is "sechingling"?

SmashedPrawnsInAMilkyBasket · 02/02/2024 16:17

The additional advertising revenue they’ll get for the numbers who watch the rugby or football is what pays for your tedious drivel favourite programme, so it’s a small price to pay for continuing to get what you want in general, surely?

MrsCarson · 02/02/2024 16:17

It's on three times a week not daily. I wouldn't mind if they moved it to ITV2 so it didn't get cancelled for sport, no one in our house watches sports, so I'll watch a film on Netflix or Disney+ tonight. They manage to show Emmerdale daily even with sports on it seems.

TheShellBeach · 02/02/2024 16:18

TV had not been invented 12/14 million years ago.

SecondUsername4me · 02/02/2024 16:19

Maybe they should schedule the soaps for about 1/2pm? Then those that prefer watching them on an evening can watch them on catch up?

I can't remember the last time I watched CS - Sarah Lou having a baby I think.
