Looking forward to nights recorded efforts - WTF, its not on tonight
and as the previous few weeks, we did not get an episode on Tuesday

ITV has so many channels that it could have easily put the crap on in place ofCS on another channel

Why have we been shortage again, disgusting!

I love classic Corrie but can't watch modern Corrie its terrible dreadful acting and dreadful nonsense storylines.

LlynTegid · 03/02/2024 12:19

I suppose if it had been on a Saturday night at least we would have coped without Ant and Dec!!

SweetBirdsong · 03/02/2024 12:23

@UnctuousUnicorns

You're probably right. I may not have been being entirely serious there. 😉 😅

I reckon you should get on to ITV, and ask for a refund for all the episodes you've missed.

It's unacceptable!

LOL!* 😆 Except the OP is missing NOTHING as the 'missing episode' will be on anyway - just on a different day that week! *Wink

It's terribly upsetting.

I have never heard anyone say that. I've heard people say that have been shorted, or short-changed.

I wonder if it's regional, or maybe it's one of these misheard things that stick- like 'you've got another thing coming'.

DistinguishedSocialCommenator · 03/02/2024 22:03

Is the missed episode ie missed as only 2 shown not three, will we get 4 next week?

It is damn right disgusting and a slap in the face for CS fans like me annd my OH and the millions of others that build up ITV's viewing figures. Disgusting the way the treat fans.

Whe I was very young I recall mum saying they'd never move CS for anyhitng or than something big happens in the royal family or a nuclear war.

The funny thing is I only started watching in my 30's and before that the into music nearly made me throw up

I stopped watching when it went from twice a week to nightly.

Same, I haven't watched any of the soaps in years. All became ridiculous and miserable.

MassageForLife · 03/02/2024 22:25

I've seen people less worked up when a concert they bought tickets to was cancelled with just a few hours notice (same day) - and they had to either take the trip anyway or lose money on travel and hotels!

No one is "worked up" but I add disgusted, saddened, ticked off and very very angry a this a couple of months back because of some crappy football.

ITV as taking the P as they are assuming they've got it covered these people will just carry on watching

What the clowns at ITV do not note is that the decided CS viewer could be looking for something else they tried to find that night and get hooked to that and stick their 2 fingers up as CS

So you aren't worked up - just disgusted and very very angry

Op, I don't believe you for a second, but you are highly entertaining 🙂

ITV have paid the exclusive rights to broadcast certain football and rugby matches so so having paid for them, they are obliged to show them. All that happens is that you will see the Coronation Street episodes but on a different day. ITV have to cater for all their viewers, which includes sports fans as well as soap fans.

StaunchMomma · 02/02/2024 20:23

Luckily, The Archers marches on!

No rescheduling issues in Ambridge!

How quickly you forget when we lost the Friday night episodes during Covid.

MassageForLife · 03/02/2024 22:51

Op, just be grateful you don't watch River City, you would be absolutely apoplectic at the moment 😂

UnctuousUnicorns · 03/02/2024 22:55

" the into music nearly made me throw up"

Does it still start, "Waaa, wa wa, Wawa Waaaaah?"

MadeOfAllWork · 03/02/2024 22:56

When I was little we lived in a village with a rather touch and go power supply. When our power went off it was often down for two or three days. We had various equipment to get us through (open fires, candles in all rooms, gas powered cooking etc) but the most important was a battery powered tv. This was to be used only for watching Coronation Street and nothing else as the battery wouldn’t last.

Thank you. Please let me know what day we will see the missed episode as there were only two in the week gone.

Is it being aired tonight? or are we getting 4 episodes in the coming week?

ITV could have easily aired the matches on another channel, ITV has several channles.

This is nuts! It is a flipping soap opera.

tuvamoodyson · 04/02/2024 10:25

TheShellBeach · 02/02/2024 16:15

Sorry, what is "sechingling"?

Well, I’ve really thought very, very hard about this, I THINK it’s a typo and it’s maybe meant to be ‘scheduling????’

TheShellBeach · 04/02/2024 15:20

I remember when I was a little girl in the 1960s, that our 84 year old neighbour had a fall, and her lodger called my mother over for her advice (mother was a nurse).

The lady was unable to move off the floor, even with help, and seemed to have a fractured hip.

My mother told the lady that she was going to call an ambulance, but the lady didn't want one called till later in the evening, so that she didn't miss Coronation Street that night.

Don't forget that there was no such thing as catch-up TV in those days.

In fact, there were only two TV channels anyway - ITV and BBC - and you had to get up and turn the telly over yourself - there were no remotes.

Ok but on the other hand what they have replaced with is a group of men playing with a funny-shaped ball.

So much angst over having to find something else to do for 45 minutes.

The funny thing is, if Rugby was on every week and Corrie was only ever on twice a week, you wouldn't be at all bothered.

DistinguishedSocialCommenator · 05/02/2024 12:36

Seriously
I've had a quick look to see if CS is on tonight and it is BUT NOT Wed or Friday, nor can I see it moved to another time. I am now, very honestly angry, upset and disgusted as I have ever been

It is NOT fair!!

A lot of you mocked me about this but wait until they do this to a show/sport you love

Are there any other CS fans like me here. If so, what should we do.

Over Corrie? Confused

You can complain but no one owes you your Corrie fix, it’s their channel, they can schedule whatever they like!
