This is its first go is it not?

There's a row of planes lining up for Gatwick, one seems to be landing every 2 minutes. It's a tight schedule because the plane before has to get out of the way.

Up in a couple of minutes is the Athens plane that has been circling the South for the past hour or so, for its second attempt.

Is anyone tracking Ryanair shannon to Edinburgh? It was heading straight for Amsterdam, but has now flown past and is further over Holland

Gran Canaria that was diverted from Gatwick to Birmingham making its descent now... 🤞

Says it’s diverting to Cologne now.

Funny, all the planes are landing at Gatwick in quick succession now, if it had hung around just a bit longer it could have landed here too.

I think it’s going to cologne with the other diverted Ryanair flights. They flew that way too

Stanstead 2 is landed!

That last one into Edinburgh just seemed to drop 1290ft in a couple of seconds, hope that was delayed measurements

Yaaaay for stansted 2. Dublin is on its 2nd approach and go for Edinburgh now!

Well I'm off to bed. I can't keep my eyes open any longer. Feeling for the pilots who must have nerves of steel to get down so low and then make that decision to abort.

I have been on a plane that aborted a landing and it was pretty scary. It wasn't during a storm - there was another plane on the runway.
My thoughts are with everyone up in the sky right now.

Gatwick has had six or seven all land ok now. Fingers crossed for all the ones to come.
