Vueling from Barcelona has also just managed to land at Gatwick

Barcelona to Gatwick successfully landed on the first attempt. A Dublin one coming in now.

The second stansted to Edinburgh is coming into land so let’s see how this goes

it would seem logical to go back to where you started, as a / for the passenger. But a variety of reasons why not - no idea if any relevant tonight for them, some more or less likely - if crew / aircraft are out of position tomorrow (eg everyone else in Cologne), does this diversion make a difference to any planning? Maintenance activity on that aircraft tomorrow - is this a better option? Crew hours - if Dublin-based, is it better they’re home tonight? Weather everywhere makes this the best choice? Fuel status. Starting airport maxing out with diversions.

I'm just outside Edinburgh and it seems to have suddenly got much calmer, so fingers crossed the Dublin and Sofia ones manage to land!

They should be redirecting all Edinburgh flights now as it’s pretty clear it’s too unachievable
