What speed was it doing? Was too busy having a browse at other planes to watch! Sounds bumpy and scary!

It was still going like 142 knots at 500 feet or so

Surely Stansted-Edinburgh will go back to Stansted rather than Cologne?

Shannon and Dublin have both headed for cologne - nobody seems to be returning back.

JellicleCat · 22/01/2024 01:31

Me too, want to know where it's going but am not staying up to find out!

PLEEEEEASE if anyone is up in a few hours, let us know where this private jet ends up!

Omg climbing and it got to 725 feet. Jesus.

Watched Big Jet TV at filming the planes trying to land at Heathrow this afternoon. One plane got back wheels down on the tarmac then had to abort and climb again to go round !! Can’t imagine how the passengers must have felt !!

StinkyLittleBastrads · 22/01/2024 01:37

I'm gonna have to log off. Have to be up in a few hours.

Good luck pilots!

Night all.

There was another mystery flight that left Ben Gurion and I ‘lost’ it over Greenland. Such a weird route.

YetMoreNewBeginnings · 22/01/2024 01:39

Is the Stanstead one heading for Belfast?

slore · 22/01/2024 01:39

Gran Canaria has finally given up on Gatwick and is heading North after circling the south east for two hours.

YetMoreNewBeginnings · 22/01/2024 01:39

A Belfast-edinburgh Ryanair just took off - they really are gluttons for punishment

Yikes. No thank you. Sometimes I sit and watch the F35/F15 jets nearby. They do this thing called touch-and-go which is basically that but in a jet. It is INSANE and brilliant

JellicleCat · 22/01/2024 01:40

Is Stansted_Edinburgh 1 RK9817 heading to Belfast (or Dublin)?

Going to be a nightmare tomorrow too with all these planes in the wrong places.

AgathaMystery · 22/01/2024 01:40

Esp as so many of those flights carry almost no food or drink. Poor passengers.

YetMoreNewBeginnings · 22/01/2024 01:40

There’s another Dublin-Edinburgh on the way in, that loo and brew break isn’t going to be as long as we thought!

Maybe Prestwick?

and you give yourself a fighting chance by diverting somewhere you have a base.

SurreyMumOfOne · 22/01/2024 01:41

The Wizz from Athens started climbing again on its first attempt at Gatwick while it was still quite a long way out.

If it goes to Dublin people on the Dublin flight that diverted to cologne rather than returning will go ape!

Thank you so much. It’s a tricky one as no numbers to search! I probably won’t care by morning so if you forget just tell me Los Angeles or something suitably celeb-ish.

IceWhites · 22/01/2024 01:42

I wonder why they aren’t just cancelling the delayed ones, I thought airports had a time cut off when planes were allowed to take off?

Edited

It’s too high. It’s over 20000 feet

A very skilled pilot I imagine was flying the plane !!

SloaneStreetVandal · 22/01/2024 01:43

Where is STN - EDI going now???

oakleaffy · 22/01/2024 01:43

WUK2XX appears to be heading somewhere European ? She's over Straits of Dover at present, her nose pointing to France. {I'm new here}
