Omg I have Been find 400 for for tipping 250 if I pay within 10 days .

This would have been during in my time of struggling badly with my house and the state it was in my bins getting over full and really struggling with everything really badly.

I know I should not have done it but I was struggling. As far as I know they are talking about a couple of bits I took to the communal bins . ( they don't belong to me house) but to the flats behinde me. I couldn't get the bits in the bin. So I left them next to the bin. They would have been bits of wood from a unit i think .

You've left loads near bins that aren't yours and you have no right to use. Why not just go to the local tip? Or there are always waste removal services cheap on Facebook. I think it's pretty shitty of you to be honest.

@Shamefullhouse

Not really, I've read the full thread and I'm giving my opinion and suggestion, as is the purpose of this site. Good luck!

I got a reply from the council. They said they don't do installments . But will extend the time in which I Need to pay by . Which is 12th Feb. They did not reply about the bit where I asked if there's anything available that could help me deal with the problem I'm having getting rid of my stuff .

I have also now paid the fine in full.

@Shamefullhouse well done on getting it paid and sorted. You're doing great, this is just one small setback

You know those cheap services are probably unlicensed, right? So they take your money and drive off and fly tip it somewhere else. You’re still liable if they do, too. Always check they are registered. There are very few registered in my area.

Well done. That’s done then. Onwards and upwards!

Absolutely! It’s done and dusted. Things happen, we deal with them, we move on!

LIZS · 22/01/2024 20:42

Was that the finance department who emailled? If so maybe try the actual council refuse collector, might well be contracted out, to see if they can deal with the excess.

I emailed the enforcement people. I will have a look and see if I can find anything.

@pickledandpuzzled

I do check, as I'm aware the items being removed are still my responsibility until they're are disposed of appropriately Smile thanks for making sure others check though

It is likely to be a different team that deals with the fine/enforcement and rubbish collections.

Try to contact the collections department directly, and ask if you can substitute a bulky item for bags of rubbish. Also check if there are any discount schemes available.

Good luck, I hope it all works out for you.

We have a couple here that'll 'take everything away for fifty quid',they probably chuck it over a hedge somewhere.
