Do you wash your hands after a wee in the night?

It’s the middle of the night and you’re up for a wee. (Assume you’ve just dabbed yourself dry with loo roll, no other bodily fluids present!) Do you do a full 30 second soap and water hand wash vs after? A quick water-only rinse, and pat dry? Not wash at all and go straight back to bed? Something else completely?

I’ve often wondered what others do but too afraid to ask in real life 🫢

No, never. And im still alive.

HalebiHabibti · 15/01/2024 21:52

No, because bacteria are asleep at night.

🙄

DustyLee123 · 15/01/2024 21:52

Of course I do.

scrivette · 15/01/2024 21:53

A very very quick splash under water - never appears to have caused me any harm! I don't flush at night either.

Maddy70 · 15/01/2024 21:54

Yes!

Multipleexclamationmarks · 15/01/2024 21:54

No.

Redwineandcake · 15/01/2024 21:54

No, too sleepy.

FlyingWithoutAPlane · 15/01/2024 21:54

Of course I wash my fucking hands!

Wearegettingfedup · 15/01/2024 21:54

Absolutely not. I haven’t peed over my hands and my sleep is too precious!

Crazycatlady202020 · 15/01/2024 21:54

Of course

allaboardtheskytrain · 15/01/2024 21:55

Nope, straight back to bed. I'm not touching anything 🤷🏼‍♀️

yodog · 15/01/2024 21:55

Bleurgh

Isn't it sort of just second nature to wash hands after a wee? Even in my sleep I'm pretty sure I'd wash my hands!

This! It takes hardly any time at all.

I hope the non washers aren't having sex after. 😬

RaininSummer · 15/01/2024 21:55

No just a water sloosh as I would be wide awake for hours if I did the full thing

holdoutaline · 15/01/2024 21:56

Yes. And I give my teeth a quick brush... just can't sleep not feeling fresh

NannyGythaOgg · 15/01/2024 21:56

FlyingWithoutAPlane · 15/01/2024 21:54

Of course I wash my fucking hands!

If you've got 'fucking' hands then I suspect it's necessary.

So I - No I fucking don't.

LuciferRising · 15/01/2024 21:56

Next people will be saying they don't change their sheets in the middle of the night after sex.

holdoutaline · 15/01/2024 21:56

Realise I am a minority if an only

Titsywoo · 15/01/2024 21:56

No it would wake me up. I use a decent amount of toilet paper - if any wee got on my hand I would wash it though.

Delatron · 15/01/2024 21:56

Surely if you shower in the morning then nobody is inflicting their ‘pissy’ hands on anyone anyway?

I have huge issues with hand washing in public toilets (in that it’s disgusting if you don’t) but can’t get worked up over a quick wee in the night in your own house when you don’t touch anything other than a bit of toilet roll.

Helloandgoodmorning2 · 15/01/2024 21:57

No, and I don’t flush. I go about 4 times at night and am asleep again in seconds! My husband doesn’t even get out of bed to wee at night and certainly doesn’t wash his hands (work that one out 😱) We don’t have a disease ridden bed or a skin complaint either.

Winnipeggy · 15/01/2024 21:57

No, my daughters room is right next to the toilet and I have to pee in the dark as it is. No way am I fumbling around trying to wash my hands silently and blind.

lightand · 15/01/2024 21:57

I couldnt bear not to.

Heaven forbid - because sex does not involve any exchange in any bodily fluids whatsoever….
