Who would it be? I always thought Belle from Beauty and the Beast would have been hands down Anne Hathaway although I realise she was probably out of the age range

Currently thinking of others because it's Saturday afternoon and I'm bored

Russel Crowe as Javert. The acting was fine but the singing??? Appalling.

Completely disagree. He held his own and Stars was performed well.

Juliette binoche( who I usually love)in wuthering heights 1992. Everything, everything else about that film was great...the rest of the cast esp Fiennes, the soundtrack, the direction, the script ( most faithful to the book) ; imo the person who decided to throw the whole project in the bin by giving Cathy ( a Yorkshire lass) a fucking french accent deserves to be executed. It's over 30 years ago and I'm still LIVID. What a waste.

Daisy Edgar-Jones in Where the Crawdads Sing. She was too insipid and simpering the character was though and strong minded. I think Jennifer Lawrence would have been much better

I think the woman who plays Marian in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves was a bit of a letdown. Can't put my finger on why. Much preferred the series Robin of Sherwood with Judi Trott and Michael Praed - she had such an ethereal beauty and grace, and he didn't have an American accent!
Can't abide Eddie Redmayne in anything other than the Stephen Hawking thing - his frozen-fish face, weirdly angled gaze and tendency to lean over in a strange way.
Also, don't like Uma Thurmann in anything at all. She has a scary look.

Edited

Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.
I remember this because she was bloody awful in The 'Color' Of Money.
I couldn't believe it when she popped up in Prince of Thieves.
Spectacularly bad Actress.

Also think Gwyneth Paltrow is an awful Actress, but I haven't seen Shakespeare In Love.

A Goodyear.

Russel crow is absolutely awful in the lead part.

Oh noooo I love that film! I usually hate Russell Crowe in anything but oddly like him in a Good Year.

Les miserables on the other hand...

Agree 100% on Andi McDowell. Utterly shockingly, embarrassingly awful!
Watched Pride & Prejudice ep1 last night and thought exactly the same about Alison Steadman.
She was just so.. shrill and annoying and silly. 🤨

Also of course it should have been Wynona in the Mary Corleone role... Or anyone on planet earth except Sophia Coppola.

Great Director though 📽️

Sophia Coppola was shockingly bad in that role. Her ‘death’ scene was so unconvincing, I actually laughed.
She was a last minute replacement for Winona .
As you said, Sophia is a great director though
