I feel like I've watched every good series possible and have nothing to binge now. Help.

I couldn't possibly list everything I've ever watched but safe to say I've watched probably all the big name shows (GoT, 24, Prison break, the Sopranos, breaking bad, Outlander, Vikings etc etc) aswell as a lot of the big 90's/00's teen dramas like Gossip Girl, The OC, Dawson's Creek etc and now I can't find anything to watch.

I've googled and everything in the top 100 lists I've either seen or watched a few episodes and couldn't get into it.

So, what have you watched that might not be the post popular series but you found it great? Or what do you rewatch?

If it hasn't been mentioned, I recommend The Lazarus Project on Sky. It's about saving the world, time travel, secret agents.

Has anyone mentioned Big Little Lies yet?

I came on to say Big Little Lies! Nicole Kidman, Reece Witherspoon, Zoe Kravitz, Meryl Streep, Laura Dern. Amazing cast and SO good.

Also very good with Reece Witherspoon Little Fires Everywhere.

Tokyo Vice on BBC.

frenchfancy81 · 10/01/2024 23:50

Yes Big Little Lies is excellent!

Can't believe only one pp has mentioned The Bear! It's the best thing I've watched in years - the only issue is getting twenty minutes in and realising you've held your breath all that time as it's so stressful

VampireWeekday · 10/01/2024 23:56

Deadwood.

In my opinion it's the best series. Immersive, character lead, beautifully scripted.

I also really liked beef, and am now enjoying the curse.

Those saying Korean dramas - tell me about them please, why are they better?

Russian Doll?
The Good Place?

CB Strike
If you can find it I recommend Life in Pieces, made me laugh out loud.
Can you get the Chicago series in the UK? Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and I think the other one is Chicago PD?

KievLoverTwo · 11/01/2024 01:10

Second vote for The Americans. Currently on my fourth rewatch. FBI v KGB spy drama. S1, 2, 3 great. S4 brilliant. 5 tedious. 6 (final) good. Only two bad actors in it from a regular cast of dozens, and they are small parts in the final season.

I rewatch The Wire and the West Wing Regularly too.

Unpopular: Columbo (on Freevee I think). Sometimes a nice, genteel murder binge with little gore and no social media or modern problems such as terrorism is really good for the soul.

I would watch S1-2 of Slow Horses but stop there, S3 was crap. Same with the Mandalorian.

I assume Narcos and Mindhunter have been covered here? Have watched both three times.

NarniaOrBust · 11/01/2024 01:38

Meant to quote the poster citing deadwood but it didn’t work. anyway.

This. Plus Mad Men. Both sublime.

sashh · 11/01/2024 03:45

Money heist - both seasons. Watch it in Spanish with subtitles, the dubbing isn't great.

Platform 7 - I finished that yesterday.

The Rookie - 5 series now and 6th on its way.

Another vote for the Lazarus project.

From if you like a bit of woo with a sprinkling of horror.

Fool me once.

ScrambledSmegs · 11/01/2024 09:41

I've just finished Deadloch on Prime. Loved it. Aussie comedy crime drama, set in Tasmania. Was a bit too 'cast of grotesques' to start with but by the end the story and the comedy were a perfect fit.

Really hope they do a season 2. Apparently it started life as 'Funny Broadchurch' which I can kind of see, in retrospect.

OwlWeiwei · 11/01/2024 09:46

I adored Patriot with Michael Dorman and Kurtwood Smith. Massively underrated and I live in hope that the potential new storyline of a pipeline being laid in the middle east will be revived. (You'd have to watch it to realise how badly you want it)
