Branson is definitely one I wouldn't be remotely surprised to hear has been suspected/accused of something appalling at any point in the future (or even after his death).
I remember the 'Big news is about to be revealed about Russell Brand' thread - when it started off vaguely, without naming him, but eventually people started giving initials. A surprising number of people guessed at Richard Branson and seemed to have instincts and experiences of him to make him a widely-believable suspect - even after it had been made clear that the man in question was a comedian.
I think the deliberate choice of the name 'Virgin' for all his brands sounds a lot like hiding in plain sight. He knew very well that it wasn't just a bit kooky, but an extremely suggestive and loaded name to choose, whatever excuses he came out with about it supposedly just referring to new businesses.
With the randomly grabbing (assaulting) women and turning them upside down, often showing off their underwear, it goes with the territory of deliberately wanting to make people feel awkward and embarrassed.
I remember the shocked and disbelieving reaction of a lot of people - especially many older folk - at the opening of a large business called 'Virgin'. It also normalised the use of the word for children who didn't yet really know what it meant, but happily embraced it as it represented something cool to them - and then led to potentially difficult questions if they did ask their parents what the name meant.
I should probably caveat this by saying that I am not accusing Branson of anything - other than the behaviours that have been documented and evidenced - but I find him to be an extremely 'interesting' man.
