Complex set of documents though. Even if you can get on the site it's not easy to digest, so we watch this space I suppose.

I wondered when I heard about Ferguson and Andrew at Sandringham this Xmas what exactly Andrew has over Charles.
How deaf of him to have them there. To me it was a clear show of support.

LookingGlassMilk · 04/01/2024 13:01

I wonder who is the 'another prince' referenced in the documents

LBFseBrom · 04/01/2024 13:01

I doubt Andrew has anything over Charles. They are brothers, there's no reason why the King should not support him. I do wish all this would die down, I looked at latest news online earlier (I don't have a paper now but check headlines online), the HateMail is having a gloat as usual. Not everyone is a voyeur who enjoys scandalmongering.

goodbyestranger · 04/01/2024 13:02

Luddite the rf is so fragile that I assume that Charles thinks the show of fraternal bond will somehow mask the deep dysfunction, since they want to present as a model family.

Not doing much to convince me at least.

alltootired · 04/01/2024 10:00

The Royal Family publicly support Andrew. The church walk shows that.

It's also broadly accepted that they (the men) have carte blanche to cheat on their partners and that they (in general) have no great liking for people of colour.

They are sordid. Exactly why the country is so sold on continuing this antiquated farce quite escapes me.

Rosiem2808 · 04/01/2024 13:03

It all looks to me like Prince Andrew has been hung out to dry by anyone and everyone. Let him take all the flak while the real evil gets away under the radar

wordler · 04/01/2024 13:06

I think the more interesting point is who is holding these parties now because it’s very unlikely these men all stopped behaving like this simply because Epstein wasn’t hosting anymore.

Yes the reins will have been picked up by another horrible man and they will all carry on as usual.

alltootired · 04/01/2024 13:10

Andrew had not been hung out to dry. He is not being prosecuted and never will be.

Could be any of them, they're probably all as bad. But there's one in particular with an established reputation as an international playboy.

I'm surprised at some comments on Sm and upthread expressing the wish that this could all continue to be rugswept, and that it's nothing more than scandal mongering. Perhaps the continued interest in this affair is borne of more than voyeurism, and rests more on concern about the constant exploitation of the powerless by powerful, rich, mostly white men.

Or the fact that so many prominent male names are associated with this unedifying exploitation racket, yet the only person yet to be held responsible for their part in it happens to be female.

There's a lot wrong with this picture. IMO the whole of society has a vested interest in ensuring a stop is put to this - unless, of course, they belong within the small number of men who benefit from it. What other interest people have in ensuring it all goes away is only a matter of speculation.

Hardly: I 100% agree.

The only one held culpable is Ghislaine Maxwell.

In the BBC article, there is no specific mention of Stephen Hawking, just Michael Jackson, David Copperfield but no suggestion of any wrongdoing. Also mention PA allegations which we already know about. Bill Clinton named repeatedly.

It’s absolutely possible to attend a party in a huge mansion and not see illegal practices going on behind closed doors. It’s probably like staying at an exclusive hotel resort, where the staff are discrete. I imagine all sorts of stuff goes on in hotels you’re completely oblivious to.

I don’t think speculation is ok - if there is wrongdoing let it be brought to light. I would prefer to be led by evidence not hearsay.

Looked at the list and one of the redacted names occurs where I would expect to see the name of a Democrat senator, who is famously linked to the NI peace process. Coincidence?

coxesorangepippin · 04/01/2024 13:22

Oh Andy

alltootired · 04/01/2024 13:22

Naomi Campbell is only mentioned in the testimony to establish a timeline by a victim i.e. it was around the time of her party.
The documents are readable by anyone.

LadyEloise1 · 04/01/2024 13:23

I can't believe Sarah Ferguson standing by her man. 🤮

Actually I can, on her past record.

Also Hilary Clinton.

I'm utterly disgusted with Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew et all.

And why it came out about Epstien in the first place. Who did he upset? It is clear these men can and do as they wish- protected by the establishment.

Someone gained by JE being arrested.

CathyorClaire · 04/01/2024 13:23

The Royal Family publicly support Andrew. The church walk shows that.

It's not just the church walk.

He's been front and centre on several occasions (some of which included his favourite dress-ups) starting with being allowed to make a speech to BBC cameras at Philip's funeral.

Anne and Ed have been on shooting jollies with him, he's been to pre-coro dinners and Willy has been seen driving with him riding shotgun twice now.

It's been a silent two fingers to the public picking up from where Mummy left off for years.

alltootired · 04/01/2024 13:27

@Togomalone read the original document, not reports on it.

deeter · 04/01/2024 13:28

The palace is sick. Those freaks do not represent me.

alltootired · 04/01/2024 13:34

People asking about parents? Virginia Giuffre had run away and was living on the streets.

Luddite26 · 04/01/2024 13:36

I just feel Charles should not be showing public support for Andrew as he did Xmas day whatever his private feelings. Fragile and this won't help.

And Hilary and Chelsea Clinton writing that book about strong women a couple of years ago. Yuk I just can't stand Clinton.

alltootired · 04/01/2024 13:39

From testimony in released documents.

The Epstein list has been released
CathyorClaire · 04/01/2024 13:39

But even so, some people will manage to cover up their secret life.

Epstein's collection of pervy artworks were on display and dotted around in his properties yet apparently none of those maintaining an association with him found them creepy enough to cut ties.

He was literally telling them who he was.

I agree. I’ve never been a crown-shagger particularly, unlike those halfwits who travel to London and sleep on the streets before royal events, but I didn’t mind them and I’d say that I was neutral on the royals a decade and more ago. But I’ve become anti-monarchy.
