If anyone is bored please give me your thoughts!

i am looking at wall murals and I’m not sure I’m brave enough. It’s for a 3m wall in our shared playroom/ living room space, the room is sort of divided into 2 and I’d like to demarcate/ “zone” the play area a bit but not with anything too childish as it’s our only living space. I would have to look at it every time I walk through the door but not when sat on the sofa.

or this one

or are they both awful and any other ideas ? 😅 I know other companies do more variety but they tend to be 2-3 x the price

I like the first one

Davros · 03/01/2024 19:12

Of those two, the first one

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 03/01/2024 19:16

First one

I like the first one best, we have one of their murals and they go on really easy.

Only downside is our wall was 3.15m and we had to buy a whole mural for the 15cm

LeroyJenkinssss · 03/01/2024 19:28

Definitely the first one. I think you should just go for it

I’m trying to be better with just doing something rather than overthink - what’s the worst that can happen? If you don’t like it you can always get rid of it. Annoying yes but not the end of the world!

Awrite · 03/01/2024 19:28

I prefer the second one.

Anneta · 03/01/2024 19:32

I prefer the first one.

Give0fecks · 03/01/2024 19:33

@Oldraver which one do you have? Good to know they are easy to do!

I don’t like either, they feel cold and bleak like winter weather!

cardibach · 03/01/2024 19:53

Second one, but I think there are nicer ones available.

FortunataTagnips · 03/01/2024 19:57

The first one is much nicer.

scrivette · 03/01/2024 19:59

Out of two, definitely the first one.

Clarinet1 · 03/01/2024 19:59

Another vote for the first one!

Verite1 · 03/01/2024 20:02

I don’t think either look very “play area”. I understand you don’t want anything too childish but neither look very cheerful to me.

How about a Japanese blossom tree. I put one in my daughter’s bedroom. Makes me happy whenever I look at it!

EnjoythemoneyJane · 03/01/2024 20:02

Rainforest is way nicer - go for it, if you hate it you can always paint over.

starfishmummy · 03/01/2024 20:03

The trees one.

Olika · 03/01/2024 20:05

First one. I think I would end up hating the second after a while.

Give0fecks · 03/01/2024 20:06

@NotFastButFurious fair enough! Definitely get they aren’t everyone’s taste. We are hoping to sell in the next 1-2 years so I’m nervous of putting people off but equally still want to put something up/ still do things I want to the house.

I definitely want the more neutral colours rather than very bright so maybe that’s why it looks wintery?

The first one but only if it is a bare wall ( no furniture against it )

Give0fecks · 03/01/2024 20:07

@cardibach I’ve mainly shortlisted these because they are cheaper. Most of the other ones I’ve seen, altho nicer, are about £200!

Rainforest is my favourite

Arrivederla · 03/01/2024 20:22

This is much better.

Arrivederla · 03/01/2024 20:22

This is much better.

I agree. First two are depressing. This one has si much more warmth.

LoobyDop · 03/01/2024 20:27

The rain forest. Number 2 is a bit dreary with its lack of colour. I quite like the green trees, but I wouldn’t call them a mural- more just a large motif. A mural needs a focal point in the same way as a painting.
