If anyone is bored please give me your thoughts!

i am looking at wall murals and I’m not sure I’m brave enough. It’s for a 3m wall in our shared playroom/ living room space, the room is sort of divided into 2 and I’d like to demarcate/ “zone” the play area a bit but not with anything too childish as it’s our only living space. I would have to look at it every time I walk through the door but not when sat on the sofa.

or this one

or are they both awful and any other ideas ? 😅 I know other companies do more variety but they tend to be 2-3 x the price

Definitely the first one. It will look lovely.

Give0fecks · 03/01/2024 20:32

Interesting… I’m not that keen on the graham and brown one as I don’t like the shape of the trees. Is it just the lack of colour people don’t like?

@cardibach I’ve mainly shortlisted these because they are cheaper. Most of the other ones I’ve seen, altho nicer, are about £200!

That is true…but you have to see it every day. If you don’t want to/can’t invest it’s possibly better to demarcate with different colour paints. That’s not meant to be snippy at all!

I think the first two are too depressing, I think.

Newchapterbeckons · 03/01/2024 20:36

First one

1st one

FindingMeno · 03/01/2024 20:37

I love the first one and would happily have it in my house.

FawnFrenchieMum · 03/01/2024 20:39

I think they both look really dull but one is marginally better.

Houseplanter · 03/01/2024 20:44

@CatherinedeBourgh tjank you - I actually hate blue for some reason! The room is green/ beige so wanting something the same sort of colour

@Give0fecks I have the second one but in the blue/green colourway and I love it. It's in my bedroom. I put it up by myself and it was really straightforward.

Rainbowshit · 03/01/2024 20:50

Out of all the murals that have been posted I prefer the very first one.

Katherineryan1986 · 03/01/2024 20:50

I’m afraid I don’t like either. They are cold and depressing looking. If I HAD to choose, then it would be the 2nd grey one, but I feel sad just thinking about them.

Summerbay23 · 03/01/2024 20:51

The sage forest. I’m afraid I don’t like the others at all.

Satincat · 03/01/2024 20:51

I think there's nice ones to choose from even on the same website.

dudsville · 03/01/2024 20:53

I'm new to this concept so i think they're all nice, but i don't understand the concept, it's it one giant sticky-back sheet of thing?

CatherinedeBourgh · 03/01/2024 20:55

The watercolour leaves one comes in green as well.

I think the problem with the two you've put up is that they are quite dark, and so will feel like they make the room heavier, which is not what you want in a play area. The third one you've posted is much lighter, which even if it's not as pretty as a photo will be less overbearing on the room. Ditto the ones I posted. I was just looking for ones in the same price range which would feel less overwhelming.

Wildernesstips · 03/01/2024 20:55

@dudsville it goes on like wallpaper - paste the wall. So it is a set of strips of wallpaper. My walls were slightly shorter than the strips so I had to slice the bottom of each by the same amount.

NinNinJin · 03/01/2024 20:56

I would not do it if you are going to sell. It rarely looks as nice as on shop photos. In real life it is more of a disappointment

Wooloohooloo · 03/01/2024 20:56

The first one is lovely.

dudsville · 03/01/2024 20:57

Thanks @Wildernesstips , so it's wallpaper but sounds to me like it would be tricky to match up being in strips, but then I've never hung wallpaper. Anyway, the effect is nice!

Give0fecks · 03/01/2024 21:08

@Wildernesstips is it dark/ depressing like some people are saying it might be?
