Whenever I use my toilet brush I'm grateful I'm not sticking my hand in the toilet.

ShinyPebble32 · 19/12/2023 09:14

Pamela was a troll?? I must have missed that! Are you absolutely sure?

Tacotortoise · 19/12/2023 09:16

PricklePop · 19/12/2023 09:07

And if its consensual and nothing goes wrong then no one will ever know. But abusive or careless men will never again be able to hide behind "consent" as a defence for the women they kill.

I mean, it's not a legal defence, you can't accidentally strangle someone to death and go whoopsie I had no idea

It's absolutely been used as a defence. See also: raping a women with a bottle of cleaning spray until she dies of her internal injuries and avoiding a murder charge because she "liked" it.

That people wipe their backsides while sitting on the loo and that the loo in question may have never seen a brush. Skid marks under the waterline. Discuss.

Wait, what?! How else am I supposed to be wiping my backside?

Tacotortoise · 19/12/2023 09:17

Or maybe it was the murder conviction he avoided rather than the charge. Either way, shocking.

The thread that recently shocked me was about the lady who was due to marry her partner the week she posted but he was sexually coercing her - he demanded they have sex every night and he had been so insistent over time that is was easy to just give in because she couldn't say no more than one time in a row if that makes sense. So she explained that if she said no to sex on Wednesday then she knew she had to say yes on Thursday. If she wanted to say no to sex more than twice over two nights he would be horrible to her. He admitted to having violent thoughts of raping her and she already once tried to cancel the wedding but he had called the wedding planner behind her back to re-instate the celebration. She was having huge anxiety about marrying him and they weren't even living together but seeing each other every night. Hence how he managed to pester for sex which she felt obliged to do. This really shocked me and I thought it was very sad. I don't know if she went through with the wedding but very sad.

That anyone is stupid enough to pay attention to use by dates on food. Or buying anything food wise that has 'baby' on it.

YesIReallyDidOK · 19/12/2023 09:22

I've just seen someone say they are 'only' on 63k a year

Sholkedabemus · 19/12/2023 09:23

Many posts about abusive men and women asking on here who is being unreasonable.

The only thing I can protest about this is the incorrect use of the word American. America is comprised of 35 nations not just the US. So yes there are many unique American cheeses, the Mexican queso fresco is a favorite of mine. I'm only slightly joking and you're not wrong.

Interesting.

I have always thought of 'American" A the United States of America. I would never include Mexico or Canada, only the 49 States (including Alaska, excluding Hawaii) located on the continent of North America, and the District of Columbia.

Do you mean Americas the continent? But then they are North America and South America.

What 7 countries make up North America?

  • United States (56.3%)
  • Mexico (21.3%)
  • Canada (6.4%)
  • Guatemala (3.0%)
  • Haiti (1.9%)
  • Dominican Republic (1.9%)
  • Cuba (1.9%)

I dont know what I think after some googling, I am more confused!

Meant to tag @Starrystarryshite, @MRSMTO.

If you're going to post in support of choking @Sexlivesofthepotatomen, at least also post the details of the risk of injury?

The thread where a couple of posters said that one should never use the loo at work for a bowel movement and that if one can't wait till the end of the working day, one should go home 'sick'.

I have IBS and gastroparesis. If I went home sick every time I needed a shit, I'd be on disability allowance!

I am shocked every single day at what women will put up with in their relationships. Obviously I am also shocked at the way some men behave.

The actual thread that shocked me was a woman who said she was dying, and it was so fake, but everybody believed it and was saying they loved her, and they would miss her, even though she had no previous threads etc. she made enough posts to keep people interested, and then after she "died" then her husband came on to talk about her. Her husband sounded just like her.

I have read enough heartbreaking threads on here where people have discovered they have cancer or another serious illness to recognise one where someone is just taking the piss. It was really shocking to me how everybody believed her even though she was clearly just lying through her teeth.

Which thread about a woman dying are you saying was a lie?

RedChester · 19/12/2023 09:27

Sorry wait, someone’s DH wanted to use their stoma as an orifice to f**k?

That throwaway comment is the most shocking thing I’ve read on here, and I’ve been here years.

It is

An American Cheese Won the World Cheese Awards for the First Time Ever

American cheeses performed well this year, as seven U.S. cheeses were included in the competition's list of the World's 84 Best Cheeses. But not everyone is celebrating America's new dairy dominance; according to Sky News, France isn't taking the results well. One widely read newspaper in the country called it "sacrilege" that only one French cheese placed in the top 16. (That cheese tied for eighth.)

If you don't wipe your arse while sat on the toilet, how the hell do you wipe your arse?!

Sparklyhat · 19/12/2023 09:28

The thread where a lady's child passed away, holding a Go Jetters toy in his hand 😢 I tear up just thinking about it. And I'm reminded of him every time I see Go Jetters on CBeebies

EtiennePalmiere · 19/12/2023 09:30

The cheese thing makes me think people aren't using their brains. Do they actually think the entire country only eats one kind of plasticy, square shaped cheese ? Literally no other kind ?

skibiditoilet · 19/12/2023 09:30

@VeronicaBeccabunga towel boilers 😂😂

Pamela was a troll?? I must have missed that! Are you absolutely sure?

I've no idea whether it was a troll thread, but the slew of sentimental responses to someone who may or may not have been telling the truth was shocking to me. It was the "I don't you know you but I love you so much Pamela xxxxxxx" type responses that I found most odd.

Where are you supposed to wipe your arse:? In the kitchen? On the bus?
I don't understand

Thank god I’m not the only one, where/how else should you wipe your arse. Genuine question.

I agree - the US is huge, absolutely massive, of course they will have their own high quality cheeses. Just doesn’t make sense to import them so we don’t get to try them.

Gettingbysomehow · 19/12/2023 09:34

The shockingly abusive husbands on here - that includes the sex pests and the ones who are happy to watch as their wives who work full time do everything in the house and garden and with the children.
It says to me that men in general have a shockingly low opinion of women and no respect for them whatsoever.

flyingant · 19/12/2023 09:34

Have I dreamt it, or was there a thread way back where a woman said she'd had a bad diarrhoea accident and was in a public toilet cubicle, crying and unable to leave because her clothes were a mess? It was in a main city (London?), and someone left work to take her some clothes only to find it was a troll playing a joke. It may have been on a different forum, but it definitely stuck with me.

BrilliantEarth · 19/12/2023 09:36

terraced · 19/12/2023 06:51

Me too! Loved that thread.

I'm afraid I had my doubts about that one, too. She was looking stuff up on the internet - she showed a screenshot of something and accidentally included her open Google tabs. One of them was "do cats like crab sticks?" when she'd said that crab sticks were her cat's favourite food...
