Just that really.. (Kind of lighthearted/maybe not!)

Ah yes I remember that one. I actually wept reading that. They were students iirc? Thought it was great japes.

Poor little dog and poor owner.

The dog stealing and dumping is the one I always remember too. It wasn't students, I can't remember the exact username but the poster was a man and the username was a man's name/had a man's name in it. I remember that because every time I saw it on another thread after that one I thought how much I despised him. I continue to wish him all the worst to this day.

Violinist64 · 19/12/2023 01:52

Mine will be controversial l suspect but it is the number of posters who consider that it is perfectly normal and acceptable to allow their children to have ipads without headphones on trains and to be loud and irritating in public places in general. Also the number of people who seem to consider that it is usual to have children with no SEN who are still in nappies at nearly school age.

People turning their underwear inside out and it lasting two days or more. 🤢

I was just a bit sick in my mouth reading that 🤢

flowerchild2000 · 19/12/2023 01:32

Ooooo and Pepper Jack! And Ghost Pepper Jack yummm

I don't think we can get those here 😕

Nor the wonderful Brazilian cheeses like Canastra. Boo.

ToWhitToWhoo · 19/12/2023 01:58

The thread where a couple of posters said that one should never use the loo at work for a bowel movement and that if one can't wait till the end of the working day, one should go home 'sick'.

WetTowelsWillRemainOnFloorWhereTheyHaveBeenLeft · 19/12/2023 01:59

@FatherJackHackettsUnderpantsHamper Thank you for finding that! Will enjoy reading it again.

@Vetoncall yes he was definitely male. I felt/feel the same way as you. It was so unutterably sad. He talked about it as if he equated it to glueing down her bin lid or something. Just a practical joke. I remember being truly shocked.

Did the dog get safely back to the owner in the end? I have to know 🥺

That over 50% of readers would NOT make their child give up their seat on the bus to someone elderly or with mobility difficulties!

I may be confusing threads, but if it's the thread I'm thinking of, I don't think they did say that. I think they said that they would not make their children give up their seats for adults just because they were adults; and most did say it was different for elderly or disabled people.

MirrieDancer · 19/12/2023 02:05

I think his name was AndrewOfOgg or something like that

Rickenbackergoodgrief · 19/12/2023 02:06

A good few years ago, a poster was driving her mum somewhere in her car. Her mum was incontinent of urine and apparently she wet herself in the ops car. The op started screaming at her mum and threw her out of her car before driving off and leaving her.

The man who apparently stole his neighbours dog and dumped it miles away in the middle of nowhere.

I seriously hope that they were made up. If not, then there's a special place in hell for bastards like them.

time4aNC · 19/12/2023 02:10

This thread was so long ago I’m not sure I’m remembering it correctly but a poster let their holiday home to a neighbour for free. The neighbour in question had been harassing them about it and OP gave in.

When OP went to their holiday home for a holiday the neighbours family was in there! They had made a copy of the key.

Boomboom22 · 19/12/2023 01:10

One poster loves being choked during sex and will not understand why this is not really OK as part of sex. Extremely shocking. And they are not even that young, almost 30? They had kids too.

Well I enjoy it too. Consenting adults can do what they like as long as it’s not illegal or involving anyone else.

Yes, I've read so many threads and comments from numerous people who simply cannot or will not use a toilet cubicle for one of the few functions that it is specifically designed and located there for.

Much worse is the people who will actually judge others who don't share their toilet phobia/shame. When the best office gossip you have is in hissing to anybody who will listen that you heard Linda from Accounts actually having a poo at work in a locked toilet cubicle in the ladies', you really need to re-evaluate your life.

Starrystarryshite · 19/12/2023 02:14

Anyway mine that I remember was the woman with the teenage son in an abusive relationship. The girls parents wouldn’t do anything about it, I remember they had a holiday and can’t remember if the son refused to go or if the girl went with them but remember it was horrendous for them. Her son was severely depressed but was too manipulated to get out the relationship. There was a happy ending though, he finally managed to get out of it and was healing from the abuse.

He must be about 19/20 possibly even 21 now. I wonder how he is getting on.

Namechangedworriedmama · 19/12/2023 02:16

Chapel Christine!

Charlize43 · 19/12/2023 02:21

Red Hawk is an American cheese! I've never seen it in the UK.

TheaBrandt · 19/12/2023 02:23

There was one poster who was adamant that none of her teens had ever gone anywhere on their own! She was pressed on this but nope they were accompanied by an adult at all times until they themselves were literally 18. She saw nothing weird about this whatsoever and implied us parents of teens who weren’t kept under house arrest were faintly negligent.

Looking at my confident social girls who have been whizzing about town with friends having fun doing Saturday jobs etc since they were about 12 my mind was blown.

FictionalCharacter · 19/12/2023 02:24

There was a thread not that long ago where the OP was literally hiding in the bathroom from her abusive partner, waiting for a chance to escape. I don't remember seeing an update. If anyone remembers it I'd love to know that she's OK.

That American cheese is all somehow "fake" and rubbish.

It is

Mexican house Thief. It turned out to be a fabrication if I remember correctly.

Milkbottlewaffle · 19/12/2023 02:41

The threads that really stick with me are HappyLandSpaceMan and her struggle to leave her extremely abusive partner.

On a more trivial note, I remember a thread a long while ago where OP didn’t wish to return a coat that she had borrowed/been given some 30 years previous. It turned out that it actually wasn’t the same coat as the original coat had been lost absolutely years ago and the coat that OP was in possession of was a replacement that she had bought.

Also: POO KNIFE!!!

The strangest, and in its own way the most alarming, thread I’ve ever read. Anywhere on the internet.

What was?

gnarlynarwhal · 19/12/2023 02:49

The penis beaker thread.

Oh, did it? Where was it rumbled/admitted? Weareeternal has mentioned it a couple of times since and not retracted at all.

If anybody hasn't read this entire thread, set aside a few hours and do yourself a massive favour! But the above post is about half way down page 2 (if you have 100 posts to a page), so probably near the end of page 6/start of page 7 (if you have 25).

The woman who was asking if it was normal for partner to keep a glass of water on the bedside table to dip his dick in and wash it after sex 🤢 she called it something like the “dick beaker”.
