I'm amazed at what my 10 year old Henry has endured and still going strong. Will suck up stones from the car, fruit shoot lids etc no problem

MissBuffyAnneSummers · 13/12/2023 18:53

I have a 22 yr old freezer.

ValBiro · 13/12/2023 18:53

My Delonghi toaster has lasted 9 years, I think that's pretty good going!

Magimix is 16 years old... I think the motor has a 25 year guarantee or something like that!

My hairdryer still works after 33 years. It's a bit annoying actually because I wouldn't mind a new one but it seems a shame to throw it away 😂

GinBlossom94 · 13/12/2023 18:57

My oven was in our house when I r bought it 18 years ago, it was put in by our sellers seller so about 23 years old now

StressyMcStressFace · 13/12/2023 18:57

I have an Amstrad digital clock radio which I've had since about 1987. It has been in continuous use and still works perfectly

ExpensiveDecorations · 13/12/2023 18:58

My parents tumble dryer must be about 45 years old, as are their built in oven and hob, all date from when they bought their house new. Our oldest is probably our Dualit toaster which is about 20.

My best friend has my old tumble dryer. It must be a similar age! We're both shocked it's still going strong! 💪🏼

AgapanthusandAcers · 13/12/2023 18:59

My hairdryer is 20 years old. I dread it packing in as you can't buy the brand here anymore.

PuttingDownRoots · 13/12/2023 19:01

Henry hoover is 12yo
Tv is 13yo
Toaster is 13.5yo
Dancing Santa is 11yo

rumred · 13/12/2023 19:01

My gas cooker, with eye level grill and 2 ovens, is about 32. Still going strong. Fridge freezer is 20 ish.
If it works, it stays. I've had a fair few washing machines over the years. So some luck involved

Snozzlemaid · 13/12/2023 19:02

Our tumble dryer is over 30 years old. It was my parents before I bought my house and that was 30 years ago.
It's such a great little thing. There's no hose vent needed and no condenser.
It dries a load of underwear in about 20 minutes.
Dd tells me the dryer they have at uni takes a couple of hours to dry a load so I'm sticking with this one until it packs up.

devildeepbluesea · 13/12/2023 19:04

My dad has an Onkyo radio which he and mum got when they married in 1969.

LividSleep · 13/12/2023 19:05

I bought my washer dryer in 2008.

It’s been through four house moves and two divorces.

I am now scared that writing this post will jinx it.

greenacrylicpaint · 13/12/2023 19:08

my parents still have their miele washing machine that they got as wedding present more than 50 years ago!

Puffalicious · 13/12/2023 19:08

Tumble dryer bought for newborn DC1- who is now 19 past!

Chest freezer given to me by a friend before DC1 born & I reckon he'd had it 8 years! Still in garage going strong.

Now I think about it, tumble is also in the garage- maybe that's the trick 🤣

CentrifugalBumblePuppy · 13/12/2023 19:08

My then in-laws bought me a stick blender before my son was born, ready to make purées when he was ready to wean.

I use it at least once a week for soups and sauces.

My son was 31 in August!

JanewaysBun · 13/12/2023 19:08

I have a whisk and food processor from c.1980, inheriter from DGM and indestructible! I also have 19 yo GHDs.

My parents got rid of a fridge in 2005 that had been going strong since the 60s!

You win!

Mindymomo · 13/12/2023 19:10

My bedroom clock/radio is 42 years old and still works well. It occasionally goes off on its own and was white whereas it’s now a mucky cream colour.

stepintochristmas1 · 13/12/2023 19:11

Hmm I have Sony tv that has lasted since '09 . Will I buy another one (first one) yes but will have to save as expensive .

IMustDoMoreExercise · 13/12/2023 19:16

My boiler is over 26 years old.

I bought a new build with the boiler and the first engineer who came round tried to persuade me to upgrade to a combi because Ideals boilers were unreliable.

It had not had any issues for over 10 years.

Ohmylovejune · 13/12/2023 19:24

When I had my "new" kitchen fitted in 1996 we moved the old fridge to the garage, thinking we would use it during hot summers and at Christmas. It's always in use and still going strong 27 years later and we must have had it a few years before the kitchen was changed. It's easily 30 years old.

And my chest freezer is pretty old too. Maybe 25 years? Mind you, the lights have gone on it. I'd like a new one really.

PilatesPeach · 13/12/2023 19:25

guestusername · 13/12/2023 19:26
