Mone is certainly having a go at bringing the Tories down with her:

Shock

I was afraid of this. I hoped that somewhere, deep down, there was something they had done well.

They have certainly done an excellent job of failing the country, possibly also enriching their mates at our expense.

Nadine Dorries wondering why Mone was made a peer. Characteristically self-aware as ever 😂

Fair play to Nads, that is some substantive trolling.

Hang on. Nadine doesn't think Mone should be a peer, and I agree with Nadine.
Mone seems to be trying to bring down the government, which is a good thing.

How can I be agreeing with these two pointless chancers?

That's it! I knew there was something. They've excelled at making their rich friends richer.

I have to say...

I read the Nads article (felt very grubby clicking on it, but there you go...)

I find Mone abhorrent, have posted so many a time. But...

My god, what a bitchy nasty piece from Nads the jilted lover of sack of porridge? .I just find it awful that one woman can be so effing bitchy about another. (I'm not talking PPEMedpro or any of that... I am talking personal, nasty, looks etc)

Do remember that it is important that people have more money than any could reasonably need in their lifetime increase the surplus unnecessary money at the expense of everyone else.

Oh Roussette, I could be nastier about both but it seems kinder to just leave them to digging their own holes ever deeper as the rest of us veer between outrage and mirth.

Are they both fighting to be Boris' next ex?

The head of the UK’s official statistics watchdog has challenged Rishi Sunak over his claim to have reduced public debt, saying the prime minister’s definition of this was so specific and limited that it risked being misleading for voters.
Sir Robert Chote, the chair of the UK Statistics Authority (UKSA), said Sunak’s claims last month “may have undermined trust in the government’s use of statistics and quantitative analysis in this area”.

Worth watching the video - the Government appear to be very carefully disguising how much the Rwanda plan will actually cost taxpayers.

👀Chair of Public Accounts C'tee @Meg_HillierMP now, takes Sunak to task about refusing to disclose the cost of the Rwanda scheme to Parliament.

He ends up claiming he's having "secret talks" with other countries. When asked which, by Jenkin, he says they're hypothetical. 👀~AA

Tell us something we didn't know.

NHS dentistry as we know it gone for good.

Shame that the Government hasn't been honest about its intentions. I doubt this was made clear in any manifesto.

Notonthestairs · 19/12/2023 17:18

The outcome of the Peter Bone recall petition should be known later this evening.

Notonthestairs · 19/12/2023 17:20

Sorry for the flurry of posts - last one!

"The latest polling by @YouGov finds the Conservatives have hit an all-time low of just 14% of the public rating them best at handling asylum and immigration (Labour are 9 points ahead on 23%). yougov.co.uk/topics/politic…"

Just picked this up from the feminist board. If true 😯

Obviously a large faction there love Miriam Cates and think it's related to her having "the wrong views" but this seems more likely to me

They are all corrupt as fuck so not surprising and Cates and the Nat Cs are mixed up with some interesting people.

Russia would be a good shout for the foreign government, but I wouldn’t rule out some dodgy elements of the Republican Party.

Anisette · 19/12/2023 17:58

I get unreasonably cross about the fact that whenever Mone turns up on TV she's blatantly just left the care of a very expensive hairdresser. You'd think she'd have the sense to tone it down a bit.

Oh, thanks for the reminder!

That is terrible about NHS dentistry. Bad oral health is linked to heart disease, also oral cancer can be picked up by dentists. So short sighted to allow NHS dentistry to basically die.

Hungary's governing party probably shares her "feminist" views that women should be at home making babies, also Russia and the Taliban as well I suppose. It will be interesting to learn who.
