One opinion that you have that will never waver, no matter what?..

OP posts:

That comprehensive parenting classes which educate people on topics including attachment theory should be mandatory in schools.

Love -> marriage -> buy a home -> babies

There wouldn't be many babies born to breeding age humans if this was the rule.

Table manners are an essential life skill.

Which country/ culture’s table manners are you speaking of?

I detest snobbery about made up rules.

Dontcallmescarface · 03/12/2023 14:53

Religion has no place in the modern world

Women's rights are human rights.

that cooking sugar is a drug and it's quite strange that we think it's normal to fill up multiple food spaces at children's events with cake, chocolate, sweets, sugary pastries etc etc, and give sugary biscuits out at toddler groups etc, and have to follow every meal with dessert. They were happy enough before they ever tasted the stuff.

Women and girls are murdered every week in the UK. Simply for being female.

I'm not saying pior Brianna's murder wasn't evil, but why is it worse?

There are a lot of parallels between Brianna’s murder and that of Sophie Lancaster. Two young people murdered for simply being different. We need to look at the kind of society that creates people who would commit this kind of act. Toxic masculinity is a problem.

That it’s rude to invite yourself to stay at someone else’s house, particularly during the week, when you know we both work full time

ITA. I had a relative who was always doing this and in the end I had to put my foot down, as enough was enough.

DC1888 · 03/12/2023 14:54

Lots of deep subjects addressed here.

A more trivial one: in comedy films Life of Brian will never be topped.

Menomeno · 03/12/2023 14:04

Why do we need your sympathy? What for? She’s not dying!

Because you posted that your daughter was terrified and you were heart broken?

I think you're trying to see 'hatred' everywhere, even in places where it clearly isn't.

LauderSyme · 03/12/2023 14:55

@HarpieDuJour 'hill to be slightly injured on'.

I love this! I have so many hills upon which I'm willing to be mildly wounded.

coldcallerbaiter · 03/12/2023 14:56

Ebokebok · 03/12/2023 13:31

Yes it does and you should therefore know that you never put a coma before and 🙈

Oh?

itsgoodtobehome · 03/12/2023 14:56

1.That just because it's your 'human right' to have children, doesn't mean you should. Make sure you can afford them, house them and educate them before you go down that route.

  1. Breastfeeding a baby makes not one iota of difference to how you child develops.
greyhairnomore · 03/12/2023 14:58

You cannot change sex.

ArthurbellaScott · 03/12/2023 14:58

The hill which I'm willing to sit down on is that humans are dichotomously sexed mammals and sex is immutable. I'd rather not die on it, there's a lot of other stuff that needs doing. But basic reality must be asserted - I think it's dangerous to attempt to coerce people to believe absurdities.

'Those who would have us believe absurdities would have us commit atrocities', also known as ' those who would have us believe humans can change sex would have us cutting the sex organs out of healthy children'.

Almostwelsh · 03/12/2023 14:58

Dogs, especially large breeds, should not be kept as pets.

The majority of people that own dogs don't look after them properly, train them properly, or both. Lots of dogs live lives that are inadequate in some way and/or cause a nuisance to others.

It is not bigoted, it is a fact and it is important to women, the thread is about their hill

Timeturnerplease · 03/12/2023 14:59

That anyone who is cruel or neglectful towards children or animals should be punished immediately, harshly and for a long, long time.

Menomeno · 03/12/2023 13:58

Thank you. As mum of a trans dd (who incidentally is too scared to leave the house most of the time, and would be terrified to ever use the women’s toilets. And who incidentally isn’t even attracted to women and has a male partner) my heart breaks for her reading the vile hatred on here. These sad people who make it their number one priority to victimise trans people have probably never even encountered one in their lives really need to get a life. I notice they don’t seem to have the same hatred of trans men.

Mainly because they don't pose the same threat. I don't want men of any age in women-only spaces. How males identify doesn't change this basic right for me. I am scared and upset if a man is in a public toilet with me. Why do men's self identity trump my right to feel safe?

Why does being told 'no' mean we hate trans people?

We dont hate trans people. We just believe that biological reality is real and that women's rights are important. Women need single sex spaces for safety and decency yet 50% of the population are being told what we need is not important. In the last census people who answered as trans was 0.1% of the population. Why are trans rights more important than women's rights?

Justrolledmyeyesoutloud · 03/12/2023 15:01

Pregnant women who drink or smoke are selfish....

itsgoodtobehome · 03/12/2023 15:01

To the breastfeeding is better post.....

Please give me evidence for this, as I have never seen any in real life.

Correct.

Likewise, dumping a child in childcare from 6 months until school age is no way to raise them.

Ebokebok · 03/12/2023 15:02

PTSDBarbiegirl · 03/12/2023 14:02

Why has @Ebokebok used zero punctuation? Perhaps grammatical coma has taken hold. Never mind, "coma" was funny.

I corrected myself. It was a typo. Where have I incorrectly used punctuation?

Fieldofbrokenpromises · 03/12/2023 15:03

I will oppose any law making it compulsory to carry ID, because I know hit would be misused by the Police and other officious twerps. Aside from it being ruinously expensive of course.
